    is this normal?

now iŽve tried 20x220 VTT 1,35V VDimm 1,65V and VCore 1,4625 @ 1,38 Load. after this the system will not boot at windows and if i go into the bios i cannot change anything because the system freezes in the bios. after i made a cmosclear it runs well. what was the fault?

Sounds like your CPU does not like the 20x multiplier.

ok but the same was at the 2 other cpus before. Is it possible that the MoBo is defective? but if it is defective it wouldŽnt work after cmos reset. ot what do you think? iŽve tested the 21x multi and ther was the same.

21x was the same how? Not stable? At what BCLK?

If you're having real probelms I suggest you head over to th EVGA support forum and start debugging slowly. This section of the forum is really for xtreme benching results more than 24/7 stuff and issues etc.

not a big problem maybe . my question was only if it happened to you when you do false settings that if youŽre going to bios to change the settings and it freezes and you have to make a cmos clear to work the system again.

    Back on the cascade today. Thought I'd see if I could scale Wprime any further. Managed a 241BCLK pass for now, not too shabby at all for a 920 under cascade;

iam just shocked about 240Mhz BCLK "stable"..? thats just insane...!

raju: have you ever experienced that the system slows down/stutters when you change settings in eleet?

    Hi Raju,

what PCIe clock did you use for that?
And did you also raise the PCIe Voltage?

latest version.. Iam at 215 max with Xeon W3520, even under vapo ls its max.. right now.. I really hate this board.. anything over 215 just wont run. either the rig freezes, or it "stutters" until I have to turn it off.

I think I have tried almost every setting possible (ofcourse I havent, but you get the picture). vtt, qpi, vdimm, pciex.. etc etc.. nothing helps. changed psu.. tried one stick of ram.. tried two different vgas... iam getting tiiiiired.

    *puh*.. got my frustration out...

have you set CPU impedance and QPi Comp both to less?

    also run PCI/e at 110.

If that does not work, I think it may be the limit of your CPu unless you're sure it can do more in another board.

def not the board man, I would make my own thread with settings you have tested and get help that way

Water is probably what is limiting you. I don't change VIOH IO. IOH you can leave at stock for 2d, only 3d sometiems benefits from a hike. VTT is chip dependant and it seems no two are the same for what they need at a given clock or temp.

looking forward to more LN2 testing.. 250BCLK would be awesome!

I saw you mentioned a W3540, planning to get one soon? They seem great, hoping to try one myself soon.

W3540 is on order. They seem pretty good, but I'll be surprised if I manage to chance upon one as good as this 920 is all round.

    regards
