Cold boot on this CPU at -160 we ran out of LN2. The CPu just keeps scaling and we're on the wall for BCLK HT on up here. More info when we all get back home. tried the same CPU on another board CB only -128. Classified rules plain and simple!

this has been one of the strangest overclocking days for a long time

today was intended to be a setup and test some 295s with king pins new gpu pots for paul (sasha35) who has a show going down next week @ scan computers

raja brought his classified and now famous 920 round so we would have the best combo to try out working 3x pots

now we had thought the chip toped out @ -130 but after a little testing the chip and m/b finaly toped out @ -190 in windows with a cold boot @ -160 for the bios

now totally distracted from our original goal we started to bench the card that was in the unit 2x4870

and did not get back to the 295s in the end as we just ran out of Ln2

this 920 is just nuts it just keeps giving the cooled you take it

We almost had 250BCL pass 06, but were just pouring the LN2 into the pot during the 06 CPU test. CPU only draws 150w or so at 5.2Ghz in that test, the pot holds good deltas upto -150. Paul was on pouring duty and timed the pull up to a T to bring it back to -160 for idle in OS. BIOS was preset with my cascade settings, so it was almost a case fo fire and go. We just did not anticpate the CPU scaling like this under cold and it sure was a fun thing to do.

Perhaps in a while Ron, I'd like to check out a W3540 too and see how it does. I dunno if I'm gonna be fortunate enough to find another CPU like this one though.
