    Master Overclocking Arena 2009

    hey guys,

I'll copy /paste first my thread in french then translate it

    [flash=560,340]http://www.youtube.com/v/gXs5eWXlbpY&hl=en&fs=1[/flash]

    Qualification Online : 15 Mai - 15 Juin

Grand Finale : Sept. 2009 - Dans un endroit... ENORME ! (Secret )

    Translated from French to English:

The MOA 2008 - Master Overclocking Arena was a huge success. For proof, there exit a few days as a graphics card designed by listening to the expectations and comments of overclockeurs collected during the previous event: the GTX 260 Lightning.

Announcement on Syndrome-OC a few weeks before the Cebit, then officially announced on CeBIT, the MOA in 2009 will take place this year! Alexis Trinh MSI France we had confirmed at the last CeBIT 2009 in our video interview:

    [flash = 560,340] http://www.youtube.com/v/gXs5eWXlbpY&hl=en&fs=1 [/ flash]

After many discussions with various people from the MSI staff and despite an announcement on Syndrome-OC there as several weeks of this, we can be the first to reveal new information on the MOA in 2009!

First, here the new logo that will be used throughout this MOA in 2009, more color compared to the logos of the year here is what to do:

The MOA will be held in 2009 in over 20 countries in Europe, is qualified to make a selection OnLine for all countries, however the country has the resources and time necessary for the establishment of national finals can do ! Online Qualifications begin May 15 officially ends June 15 (dates may be adjusted to start a little earlier for example)

We can already inform you that Syndrome-OC and Overclocking-TV will cover almost all of the event, so that you do not drop loupez (finally a bench ...).

The second big news is that ... Syndrome-OC organize selections for Online English skills! We will keep you informed in time concernnt the various rules and method of evaluation, but get ready to heat your configuration Intel / Nvidia!

As last year with the MSI European OC Challenge, MSI began its principle of selection by country and by continent. The French will therefore qualification to a European final and the European final will, for the better, the Holy Grail of the International Competition!

The European final will be held mid-July in Germany (last year it was in the Netherlands making some désoler unable to visit the Coffee Shop this year.), What I will mention some clockeur francophone: "At least there will of Beer!"
Each team will consist of 2 persons.

    Summary and timeline:

    Qualification Online: May 15 - June 15
Finals By Country (optional): Until 15 June (Can be modified)

    European finals: July 10-12 - Germany - 20 teams

Grand Finale: Sept. 2009 - In a place ... HUGE! (Secret)

    MOA official website: www.oc-arena.com

    -------------------------------------------------- --------------------

    Online Qualification:

    France: Syndrome-OC

    Benchmarks used: superp 16M & 3DMark01

Restriction material:[*] Intel Motherboards MSI Series 4 (P45/P43/G45/G43) & X58[*] MSI nVidia graphics card[*] CPU: ES not allowed. (in talks to remove it)

You must provide a screenshot with the following information:[*] CPU-Z (CPU / Memory / Motherboard)[*] GPU-Z

    Cooling:

No limit but there will have a ranking for qualifications Online as follows:[*] Air Cooling / Watercooling[*] Phase Change[*] LN2

    Being drafted.

I hope so BUT at the moment I've asked for some adjustement.

SuperPi 16M with limited Frequency (I mean ONLY for online qualification.) and this frequency can be defined from 4.6 to 5.2 by the organisator site of each country online qualification !

3DMark 01 : no limitation in frequency - just MSI Intel MB & NV VGA (I've aksed them to remove 'NO ES Chip' and ''MSI VGA"

many ocer owns a ES chips and about VGA it's so easy to flash the brand name ^^

    Yeah I hope that too

Online qualification occurs for EACH Country (In europe for sure ! I'm waiting the details for ASIA / CHINA and US qulification process).

Online Qualification -> country finale (If needed / If possible / rules are the same as Regional (see below)) -> Regional final -> WW final !

So here are some 'rules' already defined or to be done (I've asked for some 'big change' so keep in mind that can 'change' (that's the deal to be aware asap for you )

Online Qualification Team : You can qualify by Being already in a team OR single !

Country / regional / World Wide Final (I mean IRL final ) You MUST be 2 per team

Some rules will be added as soon as I finish writing the FRENCH onliune qualification rules (thinking about something like : you must choose someone that already participate in the online qualification process etc )

ONE team Per country ! (Only some country can bypass this like germany or netherlands that manage more than One country but that'll be official later )

ONE team means : TWO people !

Keep in Mind that NOTHING is yet CONFIRMED as the Official Rules haven't yet been published - Thanks
