Yep just balance out the voltages right and you can bench 1m pretty close to max valid on this board. I did not screw around with master PLL skew though.

Looks like you have some competition raju. Both of you have beyond impressive results.

He was on MSN with me while we were both getting over 254. You should see his backup

I have a feeling that I will end up with a Classified in the end.

yup, i got a 1M out at 248BCLK with my max validation at 251BCLK. i spent a total of maybe 90 minutes trying and did a bunch of 32M in that time so yeah, still lots of room to go. not sure if i can catch you too though, you really kicked it up last night

Yours has room Jody 4 sure, jus a bit more time. Tha's the beauty of cascade at times you can spend more time tuning. I am going LN2 tomorrow to see what happens.

New 06 CPU test BCLK over 5GHz..

yeah, i think i am just going to slap the single stage on it and do some work tuning. i spent literally 10 minutes to get 250, but those last 5-10 BCLK are the hardest. i benched 32M at -55C ~ -60C only last night, going colder didn't help. i could bench down to -90C and had no problem booting the whole setup at -125C, at -130C i wouldn't get POST. again, not much help below -55C though...for 32M anyway.

Yeah, I think that work on SS will help you get some more benches out for sure. The voltage stuff is the real killer over 252.

hey raj, any insight on setting cpu skew? Seems I can get a bit higher at 100, and above 200 = no boot. Not alot of reading online explaining what it does. What do you have it set at?

The skew offered on this board offsets the master PLL output to the CPU against that of the signal that is provided to the IOH. The IMC write levelling process works fairly well 99% of the time. Any and all bencmarks I have presented thus far have left this at stock. Others may use different valus, but I have not seen a single instance in which it has helped me personally (yet). The IMC seems to override whatever you set anyway by offsetting any corresponding signal lines accordingly so you almost always end up back at square one.

    @ Raju

    Hello,

could you post the Voltage settings for those beautiful BCLK´s ? i have changed now 5 D0 CPU´s and i cannot run over 220 BCLK. i don´t know what i can do. is your Mainboard selected?

    Hi,

It's not 'selected' especially. FWIW, the ES board actually booted better than this retail - and both I've managed to get to the same clocks. What exactly are you trying to do over '220'. I'm not running prime, if that's what it is you're doing then 220 is the limit. Also, each CPU is different, not only this but voltages required vary with temp.

yes i am trying to Prime. so 220 is limit? other boards like DFI UT runs prim at 227 or more. do you think with waiting for new bios version there will be more?

227 Prime blend? There can't be many if any results out there running that 24/7, althouh have not been payig any attention to that kind o stuff for a long time. Have you manged this with any of yor CPU's on the DFi board at all? I have one here so will check my CPU out in it soon enough.

not all boards/CPUs are going to be the same. because a single DFI UT runs prime at 227, doesn't mean anyone else is going to. if you are on air/water and looking for Prime stability...220 is already pushing things. anything higher and you are not only fortunate, but extremely fortunate.

Jody, I have not seen it myself either unless we're missing something. Like you said such QPI frequencies with ambient cooling and comfortable voltages, does not sound like much of a mass repeatable combo to me. Even if you could, there are other multipliers to use, and BCLK perf in 24/7 systems across multi's is close to benign in all the benches and game tests I've run.

yeah, i was just going to say...why such a high BCLK anyway. i mean, are these 920's really running over 4620MHz on air/water for prime stability??? and no i haven't seen anything north of 220~222 for prime stable BCLK...although i am not looking.

BTW, did you see my latest post in my thread...i tried muscling past you in BCLK, didn't happen

I´m from the German Luxx Forum and there are 2 or 3 people who can run up to this BCLK. if you want i can post the links

it may well be possible, but who knows without you having their boards or them testing your CPU for sure if any of those 5 D0's you've had can do it? I'll test my good 920 between the two boards shortly for any variance around this point with all else being equal. Although I'm already fairly convinced that my CPU is not one that can do it simply because it's not the best clocker at ambient temps. the fact it runs down as cold as it does is a pretty good indication of this.

No idea because I have not even started to test the DFI board yet.
