    DFI 790FX-M2R +955 worky just fine ;-)

    Been playing: http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...d=1#post381860

Got some new Blade LV1066 to test also...

Not got anything newer from DFi so thought I would have a go and see what I could get from the old girl, fact is its pretty awesome for a simple CPU upgrade.

    Issues i found.

VID over 1.45V would cause BSOD...maybe my CPU
ram clocking is different with 955 and this beta bios, old modules doing 1066 easy before now do not...but I tyweaked at 800 to be just as fast.

temps are way off, no way does this CPu idle at 17C LOL

Got a problem with your OCZ product....?

Wow very nice timings and great volts. Why are they rated as 2.1v for those timings. Do you just get a great set or are these representative?

True, but when I'm shopping for ram i look for quality ram within my budget and preferably with lower voltage requirements. I'm air cooling only so the less heat I can introduce into the case the better overall oc I can get.

now its a new product....there is NO WAY I am going to tell you now is there LOL

1250 was at 1.9V...not sure if the board or the ram was the issue as it totally corrupted a whole SSD drive...which kinds leads me to the board.

Anyway...1200 ish 1.85V I think is doable...maybe more with some uber XS tweaking.

When debating ddr2 vs. ddr3 for my new cpu, I probably would have looked at ddr2 platform a lot longer if I thought i could get ram that's running like yours. Most kits for cas 5 1066 were 1.9v-2.1v and the bulk were in the 2-2.1v group. I would have been drooling for ddr2 that could run upwards of 1066 under 2v. I'll tell you what, I'll be recommending those to anyone that's asking about ddr2 that's for sure.
