    give this mem testing package a try, its from Micro2000 developers of Microscope diagnostic/testing software.

    It's dvd iso of free memscope package, which otherwise requires an email signup and too much spam once they have the address. It does pretty intense memory diag/tests and If it's the same as the one in the Microscope R14 package, it'll thrash your memory and pick up more timing problems/too low voltage than memtest86+ does.

    System hardlock is fairly common with these until your mem subsystem is stable. It might not pick up all 4gb, but the 3.3gb low mem is more than enough to get valid results.

    I tried it but it doesn't want to run Test 1. The test is running but it completes in a second and keeps doing that over and over again.
