Dean said he should be gettting prototype classified blocks today.

And i might get my blocks a bit earily then retail. When they arrive i'll show them off on the main forum and in my work log.

Just finished spraying my hold down plate, im waiting for the chipset blocks. I think there gonna be stainless, and i'll need to paint those too.

Nah, that'd be too much red. Go for something less conventional, like 1" wide diagonal black/red safety stripes or a 1/4" red border with the rest black. Think outside the box.

But WL u also didnt think id have 2 long ass cards, with 3 possibly when GTX 300 series come out. So most of the red would be blocked under cards.

OK, here's my crappy PS doodle to show the safety stripe.



Keep in mind it may have more or less stripes due to my not knowing scale of the pic. I also used only a 50% brush so you could make out the details on the block, real color will be bolder. You could even adjust the width and angle of the stripes to have more or less depending on what you thought looked good.

The border stripe version proved a bit to difficult for my meager PS skillz but it would be pretty easy to mask and paint in RL. Paint the entire top black, then mask it and remove 1/4" from around the outside edge and paint that red.

Id say paint the X58 3xsli classified logo red but not sure how hard of a job that would be.
