i think mid may it's probably the relase date, but asus can sell it before, because now evga has the classified, that beat the re2

At that price it should be something very special and beat the living crap out of any mobo on the market. But honestly most of us are cpu limited (IMC) not board limited...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

So Lee the classified is the top dog currently?
I'm about to pull the trigger on a board and am torn between the Classified and RIIE

I have seen this issue on other forumns and have tried some of the suggestions to no avail. Is this an RMA issue, bios issue, driver issue, I do not know. Any suggestions would be appreciated...

I got the same thing when I was using 6 x 1G for some reason only 4 would register. Now that I am using 3 x 2G all 6G registers.
    So now the question are you running 6 x 1G or 3 x 2G?

I find that for me if I stay below 1.6v on dram I would get all 6g (3x2g). I keep the qpi to .2 or .3 and it doesn't matter, as long as I'm under 1.6v on dram it will run at all 6gs and at the rated timings.

Another question, what are you guys doing for win7 rc release drivers? Don't seem like none of the asus drivers want to work, but in device manager it don't show that I need any drivers since the generic ones works. So just let it be and install ati drivers and call it good or what?

What Iīve read about this problem so far is that in most cases it helped when the screws of the CPU-Cooler are lighten a little bit.
Most of the people with that problem screwed the cooler to tight and when they lightened the tension the whole amount of RAM was recognised.

    Just give it a try

    Thanks Guys,

I am running 3 x 2gb sticks. I just tried loosening the cpu block with barely finger tight setting, and still only 4gb. Something new though, the system will now BSOD when a specific stick is used (in any slot, A1 B1 or C1), me thinks I've a bad stick. It loads fine with just two sticks in A1 and B1, but if I swap one of those with the third stick... BSOD.

Are these matched sets or can Corsair just RMA the one?

    Thanks again for the help.

considering the SB has only been 25% in contact with the thermal pad i would say so.

this has been the same on both of the boards i have owned.

make sure its hot before you remove as the pads dont like coming off the chips.

Please report of the benefit of this effort.
I am thinking of dis- and reassembling the heatpipe the whole time... but still donīt know if the whole effort is worth the gain of temp.

    Hi,

Does any one else here run Kingstone HyperX memorys on this board? I cant get it to work properly...living with cold boot and bluescreens from time to time! I can run prime and memtest for hours when the system start.
I have now tryed to run with 2 sticks for some days (dualchannel) and that works great for me. No problem at all!!

    Thx in advance

It's only two weeks away, just wait until V2 of R2E comes out. You will be glad you waited.

It's written everywhere if you do some search around...search for X58 B3 revision or similar phrase. Well, maybe "two weeks" is a little bit off, but they said the new rev. B3 will be wide available for mass deployment to mobo makers beginning second week of May...so from point on, just depend on how fast they can incorporate these into their production mobos, then we'll start seeing them at time time.

Ive have only turned my board on to check if it was DOA.
I did not record any temps, i just tested a few things before i mounted it in my case, ill be running two loops and have no i7 air cooler so i didnt test any heavy or overclocked loads.
I did strip the heatpipes off, cleaned with IPA, dressed with OCZ Freeze TIM and Sekisui tape on the mosfets.

Ill report my temps when i get it all up and running, i am waiting on some deliveries so it may be a week or more before they are available.
Im not sure how useful they will be as ive nothing to compare them to though.

How much voltage on QPI/Dram do you need to feed to run 1800MHz+ (3Gb RAM) on this board?

I heard not to go over 1.35 on the QPI is this true? what about the 920 what would you guys run for 24/7?
