Someone found a workaround for the Gigabyte boards, might want to give it a try on Asus and others that have the issue.

I had to go into the power settings and change Hard Disk > Turn off hard drive after and change it to never. I do not prefer this setting because the HD does not go into sleep mode but oh well. It works.
