but keeping VCore setting in BIOS to "Auto" (1.456) , which is way too high

Whats the max NB frequency and cpu frequency u can attain using 1.42V/1.30V (NB)?

Why are u overclocking the HT and not the NB? HT doesn't bring any gain to performance just instability.

It should be "NB 2.6GHz and HT 2GHz "

NB 2.6GHz is the max stable NB I can reach with my 955BE on M3A79-T DELUXE
NB 2.8GHz is NO POST/BOOT even with 1.35V NB voltage
