    Completed WU's not reporting

    I do not think that I had messed with anything- the only thing I did change was to have up to 6 days of additional work available. But of recently it seemed I have had to manually report completed work units-or maybe I have too much time on my hands to look.. I had always assumed that BOINC would report somewhat routinely because I have had a stack of completed WU's just sitting there so I did not know if it was my setting's or something on there end.

    This was written by Snow Crash-
    I bet you guys already know this but there is a flag that can be added to your cc_config.xml file that forces the results to get reported as soon as they finish crunching ... no running around necessary. If you don't already have a cc_config.xml just make one in the base of your boinc data dir.

    <cc_config>
    <log_flags>
    </log_flags>
    <options>
    <report_results_immediately>1</report_results_immediately>
    </options>
    </cc_config>

    Did't know if I did something like this if it would help

    It does what it says it will ... I have been using this for about 1 week and when I sit mesmerized by the count down to finishing another WU, it all works like normal in that the next WU starts processing, the one that just finished starts uploading and then usually within about 5 seconds it reports the WU as complete. Almost takes the fun out of it :-)

    Default is to make contact every 6 hours but I have seen machines go a day+ and not return completed WU..
    I don't have an answer on this.

    If you accepted defaults it depends on your OS and BOINC version, if you chose a data dir when you installed I hope you remeber where you put it :-) Mine is in C:\Users\All Users\BOINC

    ... what is this ... a north east crunching conference ??? Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Massachusetts?

    BOINC can have issues if you cache more than 3 days worth of work. Sometimes it will want to drain the entire queue before reporting.

    yeah sometimes my 3500+ will hold on to 4 or 5 finished units (which is about 3 or 4 days of work ) so i have to crank the 'update' button for it to send the ones and zeroes on their way
