I don't know what would happen if you refuse delivery, but I assume they would still charge the fee because the customer DID order it. It doesn't matter if it is opened or not, they will only waive the restocking fee if the item was damaged in transit. I've had UPS damage enough items to know that much.

Last time when I ordered the wrong video card and the order was being processed already(and my CC being charged), newegg said they're unable to cancel the order eventhough they have not even ship the package yet, their rep told me all I needed to do is refused the package when the delivery guy arrived and the package will be return back to newegg, and full refund will be issue back to my CC. I did just that and got my full refund, though I'm not too sure about packages that customer had already received and opened, probably the best thing to do is call newegg and see if they would waive the restocking fees.

So here's my thinking, only reason why newegg will bundle the i7 920 with HAWX is to get old stock moving, right?

Maybe. I know when I bought my AMD X2 back in the day it came with a game, and that was when the X2 was still pretty new.

    No D0s in Dallas Microcenter.

I talked to the assistant manager and he said they had 51 in right now of the older stepping and until those get lower (like 20 or less), they will not order more from the warehouse. And when they order from the warehouse, they just get what is there, they don't have any say of D0/C0/etc.

Micro Center in central Ohio has 27 920’s in stock but they all are the older C0. The salesperson checked each one for me this morning.

UPS just dropped off the package, I got the SLBEJ with Batch# 3849A846....KICKSASS!!! thank you very much compumusic.....I'm going to install this bad boy right now!!! LOL

update: this D0 rocks and totally blow away my C0....running LinX at 4.2Ghz (21x200) @1.30vcore with HT on right now, 6 minutes into it and haven't BSOD yet, but underload temprature is hitting 80/79/78/74 on air cooler...looks like I'll have to move my watercooling system from the opteron system to the core i7 rig, or lower it back down to 4.1~4.0Ghz on air for 24/7 operation.

That's what they told me at Santa Clara MicroCenter. Except they're at 44 right now.

My processor came today from Newegg, its SLBCH. Shipped from Newegg's California warehouse. I think its safe to say Newegg has plenty of C0 stock left...

Other sites were doing the same, Intel has been running random promotions with their COre i7 processors for awhile now. Everything from $60 discounts when bundling with X25 SSDs to free 4GB flash drives to this HAWX game. I don't think it means anything.

    ben805,

4200 Mhz is just so so, even for a C0. I realize you are putting a heavy load on it, but what is your best validation booting into windows?
Many of the D0 have been getting 47xx-48xx.

Personally, my rig must be able to make 100 passes of LinX and 48hr of prime95 and 24hr looping in 3DMark and atleast 12hr of memtest, if any of these test failed then I won't accept it. Yea 4.20Ghz with HT on on air-cooler may sound like only so so, but my C0 can't even do 4.0Ghz without needing the HT turning off and it also needed 1.375vcore, so coming from C0 this is very nice gain, a realistic gain that I can use daily 24/7 for atleast 1~2yr. I was going to run a suicide screenshot but changed my mind and decided against it, it's totally retarded just to boot into windows with the highest clock to get a few screenshots to impress noobs on the internet. I could careless if someone can boot into windows for a screenshot with C0 at 6.0Ghz...it mean absolutely nothing to me as I know damn well those are nothing more than for bragging right purpose. Some people use their rigs mostly for benching, that's fine, and those 4.7~4.8 D0 you saw are either on very good water or in sub zero area which I highly doubt they'll keep it running at those clock for 24/7, show me one example of anyone running their D0 at 4.7Ghz on air with only 5 passes(I'm not asking for 100) of LinX screenshot! Hell, forget about 4.7Ghz and let me make it easier for ya....show me someon(or anyone) running 920 on air at 4.4~4.5Ghz with HT enable that can make it through 5 passes of LinX without putting their rig outside of Alaska or Antarctica! LOL

I got a D0 for $350 CAD a week ago at Infonec in Markham Ontario.

    http://www.infonec.com/site/main.php...tail&id=438196

Didn't even look at it until I got it home and installed it. Opened CPU-Z and voila... a D0.

Pretty impressive chip. I'm running 20x200 at 1.24 vcore and QPI without a hiccup.
