    murderbox.009

Man, it's great to have XS back! Thanks to those who worked to make it possible.

Not a worklog really, just the finished product. The work was done while XS was taking its holiday. I would have posted in the gallery thread but there was a 4 pic limit and I've got 15. Anyway, I'm very pleased to present Aaron's murderbox - I hope you enjoy it Aaron.

    Thanks for looking in.

charles you might need a fan on the NB until you get a block for it. It gets rediculously hot after a while.

a 60MM fan will tuck on top, or you can do the 40mm solution evga posted. However i think you need a 60mm fan on it.

Cheers NaeKuh, I reckon you're right.

I'll rig something up and get it on there which will do the job till I upgrade the machine later in the summer.

I have been struggling for a couple of days to figure out what 120x2 you are referring to NaeKuh. Anybody care to help me?

Probably means the serpentine grill that replaced the rear 2x92mm fans on the backplate of the TJ07.

OK so yes its beautiful beyond pretty much anything else BUT there is a serious lack of airflow in your motherboard compartment charles.... You need to have fans blowing on all the heatsinks in the build or your going to run into issues with heat and the lifespan of the parts you are using.

ahhh, thanks nderscore. I see 120 x 2 and automatically think radiator, so I was struggling to find it (I really should find a new, less complicated hobby )

And, btw, Charles ... I think my previous post was lost. This is just a drop dead beautiful setup. Love looking at the pics.

Wowzers...that color scheme works perfectly! And the lightbox midplate is a genius of an idea!

Does the tubing pass through like the original midplate? Will there be lighting up top as well?

As always, excellent work Charles...what masterpiece will you present to us in the next installment of "As the case turns"?
