Then get ripped and tan... so then all those computer loving chicks will dig ya... even if you do have a wife... u just tell her it all for publicity and all the photoshoots... only exteme systems will know why you really did it. im only joking Sweeper. But make sure i get a copy of ur picture and signature in the mail once u get ur first 1,000,000 dollar check from wired magazine or from how ever many companies decide to support and publicize your project.

Hey Guys,

Been awhile since my last post. Thought I would give you guys a little update, since a few people have been asking for pics. As I stated before, I'm still working out of town and don't have much time to work on the project. But, I should start working around home in a few weeks and I will make time to finish the build. I'm still working on a few things in my spare time, but not much progress. So, here is a few pics of what I'm putting together for my SS and I also made some changes to my CrossFlow evaporator. I will keep you guys posted with my progress.

This is my new design of the CrossFlow evaporator. The channels are enlarged and the base is 4mm thick.

Its a tight fit, but think I have enough room. The HX will be mounted under the case and I still need to make the fan shroud.

Wait until you see how I'm running the evaporator and suction line in the cooling chamber.

Well guys, I'm finally home and now its time to start back on completing this project. I didn't realize that I've been working out of town for the past 10 months.....I've really lost a lot of time on this build. Well, I have a lot of work ahead of me and I will be working the weekend to finishing some of the changes I started. I also have a few evaporators to make for some guys.

So, I'm glad you guys were patient and continued to post your comments to help encourage me to finish this build. I'm really looking forward to finishing this project.

I was recently reading about the Cray CX1 supercomputer which can support up to 16 Intel quad-core Xeon processors, 256 GB RAM,
1600 watt PSU and runs Windows or Linux (specs) .
It's wierd how most of the supercomputers of the world today are using off the shelf PC parts (Intel or AMD).
In the old days supercomputers had all the exotic stuff but now everybody is pretty much using the same thing (supercomputers simply use many more).

I guess it's equality at its best.

If I finally get this thing completed....it will be cooling only one CPU and high end gaming components. This system will not be used for 24/7 use, probably couldn't afford the power bill. I'm waiting on a few parts and I will have the SS completed. I will be posting pics soon.

I enjoy examining your method of hydrocooling. I was thinking about taking on a project similar to your Goliath but I have no time in the world to do it. I may take a spare refrigerator/freezer apart and put something together more quick and simple. It would certainly be nice to have time like this. Thanks for your pictures.

If your looking to build a simple water chiller, then the best system to assemble would be to buy a condenser unit that is rated for the watts you will be cooling and a plate HX. You can find some good deals on Ebay to buy most of your parts. But, even going this route, you need to consider the tools and supplies you need to put the system together. This can be a very expensive hobby and it may be best to have someone build you a system for your needs.

I lost count of how much money I spent since I started building my system. I admit, I've went a little over the top, but its something I enjoy doing.
