    What's the current record btw?

PS: perhaps it would be a good idea to make a list of OC's in the first post...

No valid submissions yet...highest clock is 3624? I sense a ninja post and poker face strategy around the last few hours of the contest

Damn, my poor 9900 ES is good for a B2, but I can't imagine that'll be a #1 chip against any decent 9850/9950

You should make a similar contest for K8 on your next payday!

Man... if only you had two chips to give away. One for unlocked phenom 1 chips and one for locked phenom 1's. My best clocker is my regular 9600 that I got up to 3.18 with a single stick of ram. Its not quite enough to compete with any of the unlocked ones here, but I bet it could beat anyone's locked, especially since I can do 3ghz with 1.3v vid.
Not much to say right now.

May be more in the future, all depends on how this one pans out, not to many submissions as of yet but still early. Guys need to spread the word

    yes, its in the OP.
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

Hope is Extreme,, My 9950 is unreal

    Thats the REAL voltage

Well ,, Its a little better

    The uber test Rig LOL,,

The Almost Max result,, I think i can push more with just regular water cooling.

Update,,,Well im off to Bakerfield For a week,, So this means all you guys get a Extra week to tweak your Cpu's

I had to mod one Radiator to give me The cooling temps i needed to keep ((1.80volts))) Happy @3800+mhz with using water and 18c ambiant Room temp. To keep things happy it was a huge hurdle by all means since i did not want to use Chilled water internally . (inside the loop).. So i did next best thing

    3856mhz ......... PHI B3 9950 (140watt) best run,,@ 3910 @1.8volts CPU //NB @1.69volts
I was so excited i took picture and then rebooted with out saving..

I will not be able to do any more runs before i leave to Bakersfield. I would have change the water loop and build a res for my Pump to keep going. I just didnt have the time to this.

Chew,, thank you for giveing all us the Extreme pleashure to fight over a CPU

Nice OC gOtVoltage, impressive for a 140w chip!
