i have the sapphire 4670 with GDDR4 memory, and i want to vmod it to squeeze a little bit more out of it!
anyone know how to mod it or do you need me to take pics?

how far can i take the vgpu ?? im currently at 955mhz/1163mhz @ 1.525V/2.17V
can i go any further than this? temp is 61C with stock cooler at 100%.
IS THIS FORUM DEAD ????? It took me AGES to be activated so i could post, and now no one is fawkin answering! i have written in 4 threads different questions, and haven't got any replies..
does anybody know how much voltage the RV730 can take?
Hi guys!
Who could tell me what is this?
This is on the rear of my Sapphire 4670 1Gb...
Thanks!
what is the default voltage

you should be good. i would avoid running fur mark and would cool any vrm. what kind of cooling are you using

the standard cooling at 95% fan speed. i dont understand the vrm part ?? is it the transistors feeding the GPU ? there is no cooling at all on them now...
what do you think about 1.635-1.645 ?? i want 1ghz so badit went through 3Dmark 06 with that setup and didnt go higher then 62C at any time..

the plan is to put a modded cpu cooler to the gpu.. hopefully its larger fins an the bigger area of the fins will give me better cooling.
This mod is identical to the 4850's in a way![]()
Well, good to know!
I have one little HD4670 in my HTPC just waiting for some soldering love
BTW 1.72V is impressive for 55nm GPU. Long time ago I've modded X1300Pro and once reached 1.7V my card died! (still at that time I had GPU clock record for it with around 720MHz and 3DMark05 score of ~3600 points). To be fair it wasn't GPU itself which died, but something on the PCB.

i think the chip itself could handle more than that, but the VR part of the card got awful hot! even the backside of the pcb was to hot to touch ^^
If you want to remain in "safe" levels with your vmod, don't exceed more than +10% voltage for the GPU and memory.

good point.. its not in any way a recomendation from me to push 1.72V through your gpus. its almost 30% more voltage than stock..
