Any stability requirements or just enough to be able to take the screenshot? EDIT: Also does a 7750 BE count?

Any Phenom I cpu counts the stability test is the screenshot, its sometimes harder than a cpu-z validation suicide

Bump....................Needs to be sticky till deadline.
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

I was referring to the ambient temps versus aod reported temps, that was shot within 10 seconds of screenie. 24C ambients and cpu is reporting 20C.....

If you currently own a P II you can enter with your P I, Its not required that you give it up but it sure would be a nice gesture if the runner up can not afford a PH II

camera phone any picture quality......as long as we can tell its a computer and what cooling you have......don't need a temp probe just bundled motherboard hardware monitor showing temps in screenshot.....

Surely you must know someone with a camera......this is common practice with alot of competitions.....

...if you can ship the CPU to an American address, will foreigners be able to join...?

I could use one of those 720's... and I have a decent B2 I think

Edit: crap, I forgot about B3's being Phenom I as well. Oh well... hehe. I can still participate for fun, being the fastest B2 is still something to aim for.

Temps for water must be kept in the range mentioned in rules post 1. ambients 15C / 60F temps in windows of actual cpu will have to be higher than ambient, 61F would be fine

It's really cool of you to run this contest chew*!

I have a 9950be in my 2nd rig that I'm trying to sell, but it never was that good of a clocker and it's running on a Biostar TA790-GX that doesn't like high V's... 3.2 was the best I ever got out of it even on the Asus M3A79-T with water so I doubt I'd even have a chance...

Just wanted to give you props for your generosity!

Oh well I originally got a Woody but I see its for Phenom 1 Overclocking

The Only Phenom 1 I have is a 9600 BE and the only way to get some OC out of this thing is to Pitch it Up In the Air and Smack across Center Field with a Louisville Slugger
