    1. By fuzzy do you mean blurry? I don't know what the internals of Mitsubishi screens are like but there should be focus pots in there somewhere.
    2. Have you tried the obvious things like adjuting green gain/bias, I'm not sure if your monitor has those settings but I'm guessing it does. I've had green/pink tints caused by bad cables before, so that's a possibility.
    3. If it's still too bright with brightness turned right down, you might need to adjust G2 voltage, I dunno how that's done on that monitor, but I'm guessing it's probably a pot or through firmware.
    4. Then just untick 'Show only refresh rates supports..'. I have to generate modelines for every single refresh rate/resolution to use my FW900 in xorg because EDID doesn't play nicely, and that's far more hack'ish than unticking a silly little box.

I wouldn't know, I only know about Sony internals. I wouldn't recommend opening it up and trying to locate them yourself unless you know what you're doing, wouldn't want to get fried. Your best bet is to just ask around until you find someone else who has one and ask them if they know, or take it to someone who has experience with CRTs/isn't scared of getting electrocuted :P

bummer, maybe try mits. web site/support if they can send you a proper driver
or figure which listing is the right one on the other rig and install the driver there, maybe a fresh os install could be the fix

Just to add - you might be able to manually edit the inf file so it'll install, I dunno. After all, a monitor driver is really only a color profile and a list of supported modes, I think.

it will make an audible hum,I loaned the monitor to my niece years ago but just weeks ago evaluated the PQ,it still makes a nice clear display and is used daily
seems I remember deciding the contrast fairly high in the 70's or 80's and the brightness in the 30's to 40's looked best to me with constant brightness enabled, movie mode,RGB color state,1600x1200@85 refresh, driven with the 9800pro than a x800xt now a G3ti200 in a P3 system runs it
tested with higher refreshes at the 16x12 res. when gaming and never noticed the need, was as smooth at 85,half life 2 was the new game and the 9800 pro did that res. with medium settings smooth than the x800xt allowed for high textures with 4x aa 8x af
