Antec Quattro 850W // Antec 1200 // Win7 64 bit
WOW, 175 bucks for a 64GB SLC drive that isnt Jmicron?? That is a KILLER DEAL. If I didnt already have a x25-m I would probably buy 2 of these and raid0 them! How do these compare to the x25-m just out of curiosity? I got my x25-m for 281 shipped and want to know if I wasted 100 bucks.
These aren't very fast.... sub 100 random writes per second I think. The price is amazing for non stuttering SSDs nonetheless.

I don't think its a good deal unless you have something to use a 1.8" drive in. Adapters are expensive. As in $45 expensive.
I ordered a pair of these 64G ones to raid0 with my areca card,I'll post when I have some results

I can see a box in a 5.25 bay taking up a few of these connected to a 1231. Would be perfect for SFF.
Just be careful how you hook them up.
This was from the comments :This is the same drive as the 2.5 inch but in the smaller form factor. This can be adapted to be used in a normal 2.5 in laptop sata drive port is you get the right adapter to give the drive 3.3 volt power. This has the standard sata data port but the power plug is slightly different because it is 3.3 volt instead of just 5 volt like the 2.5 inch version. Also coulf be used in a desktop with the same adapter, just make sure your sata power plug has the 3.3 volt line. The adapters that go from a 4 pin molex don't have the 3.3 volt line (only 5 and 12 volt).
yes I did call my psu tech support to verify it would power the units proper and was told yes

I have two of the 2.5" drives that I will RAID 0 with ICH9R sometime soon
Cost me £115 (~$160 USD) each, they have 32MB cache on a Sammy controller.
WinXP and aligned, no other tweaks just used as a Steam games drive.
Its not a speed demon, but certainly not bad for SLC and something like 12-18month old SSD tech

i5-750 w/ Thermalright Ultra120X
Coolermaster HAF-932
MSI GD65
2x2GB G.skill Cas7 1600MHz
Sapphire HD6870
Western Digital 640GB.AAKS
2x Samsung F1 1TB
2x Samsung SLC 64GB SSD
Pioneer DVR-212BK
Corsair HX620W
Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music (dead, using onboard -.-)
LG W2286L
$350 gets you 128 vs the $363 gig x-25m 80 gig SLC.
If onboard raid 0 does in fact prove comparable, this might be a great option to buy instead of the intel.
LuckyNV, I'm really interested to see your results.![]()
You must [not] advance.

These are the best deal for any SLC around right now. Get them while they're hot- The 64GB already sold out at $200 which is a great deal!
I would have purchased these at this price before I got the X25-M's.

I don't see why anyone would bother with those cheap sammys unless they only have ~200 bucks to spend and need 60GB of space. If you get two of them for R0 then you would have been much better off with an X25-M or a vertex for that money speed wise.
100/80
Hmmm, not that impressive. SLC good but doesnt make me buy it.
Well if these are so cheap, I guess I can trust those Crucial drives that claim to be SLC but seemed too cheap to really be SLC to me.
Rig 1:
ASUS P8Z77-V
Intel i5 3570K @ 4.75GHz
16GB of Team Xtreme DDR-2666 RAM (11-13-13-35-2T)
Nvidia GTX 670 4GB SLI
Rig 2:
Asus Sabertooth 990FX
AMD FX-8350 @ 5.6GHz
16GB of Mushkin DDR-1866 RAM (8-9-8-26-1T)
AMD 6950 with 6970 bios flash
Yamakasi Catleap 2B overclocked to 120Hz refresh rate
Audio-GD FUN DAC unit w/ AD797BRZ opamps
Sennheiser PC350 headset w/ hero mod
I am sorry Griff, I know you have nothing to do with this, it's just that I am so pissed at them and no my money is in limbo.
I think this is a better deal for SLC drives...
