George your scaring everyone away! Nice one..I know you have alot of 01' practice last month right?
Yah if you take both single gpu and multi gpu you get them both

I expect to see a VERY tight race at the top with the clock limit and nature caps.

@GHZ..got a darkhorse setup here that I will run just for fun. Not sure how it will do against the "usual suspects" for 01' ownage though.

It may sound silly, but I want to be sure, GTX295 and 9800GX2 are single GPU or multi GPU cards for this game ?
I ask as they have two cores, but on the other hand it's one card. I know what hwbot calls it, but this is your game/rules.
Congratz to you and dino on taking the aussie Jigabyte my friend, hope to see dino in here too .

    Single gpu=1core Multi gpu=2cores

Hehe.. I would not dare to argue with you I guess.
I would think you have run thru 3DM01 "some times" now with both "red" and "green".
Have some experince with various "greens" and "reds" in the same rig, and it's not only in GT4 (Nature) the "green" one kicks ass (same FSB/CPU/Mem-clock).

Hmmm.. I have a "red lady" 3870x2, and last time I tried it, it did not fare particulary well in 3DM01 (Q6600/Q9450 @ 4.0/3.7). Easily "whopped" by my old 8800GT (same Q6600) but I may remember wrong though..

Uh oh George, looks like you'll just have to prove everyone wrong and win with the red team now.

Well if he uses his nice 4870 @ 1160/1300MHz on LN2 for all the other tests, and then start decreasing clocks till he gets sub1200 FPS Nature, the score is going to be pretty cool (from what I've seen in the greek qualifiers )

    I beg to differ

    1200fps nature should be reachable

No Bill is completely right. If hipro plays with his 4870 @ 1160/1300, E8600 @ 4200MHz and applies a lot of software tweaks, 1200 FPS in Nature is more than viable

    Och my got
how many Vcore you added to the HD4870?
    i take HD4850, 1,6V on air , but this must bee 1,7-1,8V on LN2
its looks for long way in my overclocking evolution

but the simples way is use the nVidia card

Any tweak to get better nature score with core i7 and NV GFX ? All GT's are good but Nature score is very poor ...

Nope We need new drivers in order for this to work. i7 is only kind of good in 3DMark2001 once you combine it with a Single-GPU VGA. You turn the HT off in your i7 processor and you 're ready to go You lose a whole lot FPS in Dragothic Low and Nature but win a lot in the rest of 'em. All in all, if you compare LGA775 + E8600 vs LGA1366 + i7 the outcome is going to be in favor of the latter by a small margin

Uncore helps a lot in nature on x58. With UD5 there is a 2x+1 rule on the DDR ratio. So i have used 13x (2500ish) uncore and got 900+ nature. But with uncore at 21x (4200) I got 1115 i Nature. Still far away from 1400, but it helped.

I probably won't have time to make any submissions in this (much to my dismay ) but let me remind you guys of the power of the good old Conroe paired with i975X with this run I've got from two years ago... (I know hipro will appreciate this )

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=9241841

Check out the CL, CH and LL in particular. Enough to run with even the fanciest Wolfdale/DDR3 setups in these tests at least.

Though I'm disappointed that I didn't try to do this on 9X...oh well...still fast.
