It would seem to just force them to be available. I would be amazed if it went to 22x with turbo on.

Turbo is "disabled". Its basicly tricking the CPU to always run turbo mode on all cores.

It was just a matter of time I guess. Since they had higher multiplier due to turbomode.

22 is normal multi with retail i920 and Turbo mode activated! If temps of CPU are low, multi 22 is usable ...

Its waht gb mobos have since release, if you enable turbo (disabled C1/EIST) you have perma 21x multi.

Not on all cores at the same time.

This doesn't really change anything, in the end you still get the same 21x multi.

So... does this result in 21x multiplier for all cores/threads or just Core 0? Need more data than 4 CPU-Z windows all showing Core 0.

It runs at 21 on all cores. Turbo on one core or 2 cores would be 22x.

Welcome to last year. It doesn't matter if it's through Turbo mode or not, the 21x multi has been available in almost all motherboards since the very beginning.

Guys, this 21x multi is possible on the P6T Deluxe without turbo as well, using the 1303 BIOS. I can personally confirm this. Just look at the P6T Deluxe discussion thread for more info.

It does have a bug that I hope is resolved though, and I would reckon it is on the R2EG as well. Under extremely heavy load, such as Linpack using LinX, the multi will drop back to 20x. Since the 20x is way more unstable than 21, a perfectly stable OC now becomes unstable due to the 20x multi under heavy load.

I believe this is a bug with the TDP limitation, I really hope Asus can correct it. Prime95 was not enough to make it go to 20x for me.

Its been fixed on the r2e, don't know about p6t. with bios 1104 i can run linx and multi stays stable at 21x when i check it with intel turbo tool (cpu-z lies when the multi is unstable but doesn't quite drop down to 20x).

Also available on the P6T Deluxe (I have 2 running 100% 24/7 at 21X multi, no issues to report). CPU temps never cross 75C for me, so that might be your issue.

No, I have CPU TM Function disabled. And the multi drops with LinX almost immediately after it puts on 100% load, before the CPU has a chance to fully heat up.

    It's only BIOS bug
Shows that turbo is off when it's enabled IMHO

x20 is rock solid on my p6t deluxe but it needs way more volts to run the same speeds at x21.

    *yawn*

Wake me when a 22x for all cores option is available trough BIOS, no matter how you can set it, 21x is nothing special unless you could fool your CPU another way by enabling Turbo after that it runs 22x As Im deadly limited by Blck, a full 22x option is very welcome
