my civ4 start lagging when I have a lot of cities on a e5200@ 3.6ghz. My king's bounty legend also have some lagging. But after changing to X3 720BE running with 3 cores, both game run much smoother @3.3ghz. this is using the same os/game installation when i make the switch

You wont notice the difference other then Less Latency in general Use anyway! Sorry But my Phenom 9600 BE @ Stock had No issued=s what so ever running Professional Apps such as ADOBE CS3 Web Design Premium Suite , WaveLab 5 Professional Digital Music Re-Mastering Software AVS Video Conversion Software, Offfice Enterprise etc ,etc compared to the Q6600 @3,55ghz so you see this Core2 vs Phenom B.S is way over Rated and a bunch of Nonsense....it just is!

And thats with a lowly Phenom 1 9600 BE @ Stock too let alone a PhenomII 940 BE @ 3.8GHZ

And as far as gaming goes well lets just say the Fluent natural Feel and sheer performance in Game AMD is still the better gaming processor!

basically, PII 3000MHz is equivalent to Yorkfiled 2850MHz or Kentsfield 3100MHz. my meaning is, PII is BETTER! than Kentsfield (within excel etc- aplications not good for AMD cores)
