hes got speedstep or ce1 turned on in the bios which drops the multi down to X6 when theres no load on the cpu

and what about the first screen were the OP says 4GHZ , Core temp says 4GHZ , CPUz says 3.78GHZ , still the 3D mark 06 CPU score is exactly where it should be for a 4.8GHZ CPU

lol idk about the 4GHz, but the 06 one it read the stock multi 9.5

so he has to answer that one

Cpuz does not read the .5 multi As you can see it only reads 9x multi.

Just update the bios to latest one and your problem should went away

_AntLionBR_, me passa ( se possivel ) o setting que vc ta usando na bios ai para mim comparar com o meu o 4870@over me passou um mais ta muito mais muito instável e tirei mais agora quando tendo voltar ele não passa nem do carregamento do sistema!!!

This motivated me. It's 4AM, I can't sleep, there's a LAN coming up and a guy figured out how to make a million of us playable in L4D, so what else is there to do but blow up the pc, right? Here's my "I got into windows screenie" for now...



I'm gonna pick up one of those Thermaltake A2018's from fry's tomorrow and double the airflow on the TRUE for more palatable temps. I'm touching 70 on these 1200RPM SFLEX's. They're quiet, but damnit, my AC's running full tilt in an effort to keep hell out. I can't hear myself think and the pc has no business being quiet at a time like this!
