You should really look at a Lian-Li PC-X series case rather than just linking any random LL case without a painted interior... just a thought.

Also, we're playing around with the airflow and have just had some very interesting results that may change the orientation of the fans around a bit on the final version. A lot of exhaust and intake fans might have to re-evaluate their purposes.

So aside from the dust filters and radiator friendly fan spacing (what fan spacing BTW) do you have any other concrete info on the planned case design changes?

something just occurred to me.. it looks like intake goes through the bottom, and exhausts through the top. 3 x 120 radiator exhausting heat doesn't sound nice.. fresh air to the radiators is muy importante.

I am pretty sure this is an issue faced by any top mounted radiator setup. You are either faced with the proposition of exhausting warm air into the case or cooling the radiator with air that is already above ambient. Aside from a TJ07 style compartment design I don't really see a way around this.

Agreed if you are talking about the pre-drilled WC holes, if you are talking about the MB tray holes I could take it or leave it to be honest.

Good to go. I don't think competitors should be worried about anything, though. Adding another chassis maker to the already extended list shouldn't be a problem.

I wasn't trying to be condescending, sorry if it came across that way.

Our first power supplies, the HX520 and HX620, launched 2.5 years ago to compete with the high-end modular products. (remember, 2.5 years ago 600W+ was high-end!) They sold at a premium and reviewed very well - we followed them up with the TX and VX series, which are very good values and still maintain the high build quality of the HX line.

So don't be surprised to see us eventually follow up the high-end products with more price-conscious stuff. I know there aren't many people who pay $200+ for a case, and those who do usually have one or two key features that they pay that money for.

I think we've done very well with our PSU line, especially for only being in the industry for about 30 months or so, and we have products from $50 to $250, 400W to 1000W.

2.5-3 years from now I'd like to show you guys a great lineup of cases that can meet the needs of everyone out there.

But this is the first one, and I'm listening to your feedback. The version in the images is a prototype, not the final version, and the final one will have a lot of changes, some of them based on feedback I gather from forums like this one.

I think you should make 2 versions of this case: The alluminum one (300-350$) and the steel one ( 200-250$). Do this and everybody will buy it, enthusiasts and not enthusiasts.

This case is awesome and looks almost perfect to me. The only thing I'm not sure of is graphic cards ventilation : will one 140mm fan, placed in that position, be enought to properly cool two or more graphic cards?

Maybe you should turn the hd-cage 90 deg. right, in order to put the 120mm fan that cools the hd in the front. The 140mm fan that cools the vga must be put behind the hd-cage in order to create an air tunnel and blow air to the vga. The side panel must be modified in order to be able to remove the hds, using hot swap, from the side of the case...Maybe I should post a picture. Mmmhh the wole structure must me modified to do this..... Well I hope your structure will be good to cool vgas anyway..

I really like the inovative ideas with the PSU cables to MB/PCI-E power behind the motherboard. But to be honest, the case looks like . If they only did it better looking i would be interested.

Earliest is May release last I heard, price is still TBA until final changes are confirmed, don't expect it to be cheap though, I'm thinking at least ATCS-840 price.

As for some comments, no matter what Corsair do they can not please everyone, so whatever they finally choose to implement will most likely be decided on pleasing the majority and design/cost constraints

I don't really get it why they bother with 3,5" slots at all, just go for 5,25" all the way with adapters to 3,5" to gain tons of flexibility.

Anyway, it's a clear winner in my opinion, avalaibility will certainly better than MM outside the us and it does not suffer from plastic over use like the cosmos, so it will be the best case on the market that can fit a 360 rad without modding.

make it 8-slots pcie brackets and this would help sell alot more since most users have a X58 like Rampage II or gigabyte for example that need a 8-slot case for 3-SLi because of the pcie been placed lower than usual...

the price point doesn't sound bad considering all the little extras and attention to detail.

my lian li pc-75 was about the same price and other than being all aluminum doesn't hold a candle from what i can see.

the combination of steel and aluminum doesn't bother me much. most large cases like this don't get moved a lot, and as long as the right parts are made from the right metal i'll be happy.

one other complaint i've seen is the non removable mobo tray. i don't see it as a big deal since the mobo tray has all the cable routing holes in it, you'd go through more work removing a mobo tray than it'd be worth IMHO. besides, it's a full size case, there's going to be plenty of room to work. the few cases i owned with a mobo tray i either was forced to use it removed because the case design was so cramped, or i never removed it because there was never a need.

just my thoughts of course, and it's nice i can finally post on here!

There are really only 2 radiator spacings, Thermochill and everyone else that matters. I am sure there are some wonky euro manufacturers that use a spacing other than 15mm (the "standard") vs 24+mm (Thermochill). I know this doesn't answer your question but considering the question has been asked at least 3 times in this thread I would say that either nobody knows or those in the know don't really care.

thermochill is 24.5mm currently and in the future rads too be released this year they will all be standard 15mm spacing. This case should be only 15mm

worst part about this case is i'm gonna have to upgrade my ultra 120 (non-extreme) to a True 120 black, and i really should change the blue ramsinks on my g.skill for some black ones, it's only the right thing to do.

i hope they really go head first into making cases and come out with a lot of case accessories like lian li and coolermater.

i'd definitely like to see the spring loaded optical drive covers like lian li has. or at least make the case so the lian li covers are compatible, doesn't seem too difficult.

also extra bay accessories, so you can add more hdd hotswap bays, or make a bay accessory for adding another 120mm fan in 3x5.25" bays. oh and if they do that, make it so you can clean the filter without disassembling the whole front of your case, i'm looking at you lian li!

being able to buy extra bay covers is nice too, maybe even perforated/vented ones, same goes for i/o slot covers, nice black vented ones would be great.

making your cases similar enough to allow for such accessories and allowing the end user to decide what little extras they want is definitely nice. the side panel for instance, make a non-windowed panel as well as the windowed, maybe make it optional. i'd personally like to see the windowed model as the default, but i like windows.

that's one major thing that has kept me with lian li for so long, i've been able to get all sorts of extras for my case that match and fit lke a glove. i think it'd say a lot about corsair's commitment to cases if they offered replacement parts and accessories the way lian li and coolermaster are.
