That's the right memory.. Goes in the #2 and 4 dimms from the top when the board is in a case..
I remember that the egg had a EATX case for like $55.00..
Go to wamps here, thread stickied about Youngpro by me and a link is there for the case..
mike047 might have made the orginal comment on the case.

So I basically can put 8gb in this thing-from what I read in this over-stuffed-with-info thread is the memory slots do not take 2gb sticks? These boards and cpus can up to 16gb, so I read?

I've bought from this seller several times and never been disappointed. He also sells compatible 2gb single rank modules. I've gotten 8x 2gb and 8x 1gb from him for sammy1 and sammy2. That's 24gb for $360 shipped!
Thanks I took advantage of that-I love free shipping too!!

16GB on an x86 platform - how can you use that much ram w/o 64Bit capabilities? I don't get it.

It allows us to use a 36-bit memory access, 32-bits per process and 4-bits for paging. It means that we can technically get up to 64GB on a 32-bit platform!

It's available for free with Linux but you need Windows Server Datacenter Edition to take advantage of it in Windows. Technically Windows XP uses it to read the NX bit for DEP, but doesn't actively page anything out past 4GB - MMIO.

The 32-bit 4GB limitation is only per process, so it's not too bad. You could run a couple VMs, a database, and web server process and still have enough memory for everything.

I think the old Socket 8 Pentium Pro was the first to implement it.
You can use Windows Server Enterprise. That's what I'm using on my original Sammy.

I'll tell ya I spent a good bit of last night and half of today searching online & reading through threads for just a small bite. Nothing and then I finally found those 2- thats why I broke down and bought 2 of those 1667's, 2 boards and a bunch of memory. that site actually has the SL8WT for sale@ $149- which is slightly up there considering the concept of this rig

    http://www.itxchange.com/itxchange/p...UrlSrc=Website

I searched forever- got alot of the Asian eBay/yahoo sites but nothing. now I just need to wait for my parts and keep my fingers crossed for that auction! Thanks for all input from everyone

One thing to always remember is that cpu prices drop like bricks EXCEPT the top one of each platform and that is why there are people asking huge money for a 3 year old cpu such as this.
Now the other side is that when I first started dealing in cpu's in mid 2004 these sold for $2500.00 each on ebay:

I ordered an extra 1 and technically I only have 2 chips comin till the end of that auction. So we can meet half way and its yours(or you can pay for shipping from my house which would still be less than there's) Either way you got one close by.

Honestly though, it's the last component I'm missing for this build, I've got:
    2x SL9HN 2.0GHz
    8x 2GB PC2-3200 ECC Reg (Elpida)
    6x 7K1000.B 320GB 7200RPM SATA (Hitachi)
    1x AXXLCPPED (Front Panel LCD)
1x AXXIMMADV (Advanced Remote Management mBMC)
1x ARIGCDFDBRK (Slimline CD/Floppy Mounting Kit)
    1x AXX6SATADB (6-Bay SATA Hot-swap module)
1x SC5275-E (Intel Server Chassis with 600W Power Supply)
    1x NVIDIA Quadro NVS 290
    1x SB0410 SoundBlaster Live! 24-bit PCI
    1x TEAC FD-05HF Slimline Floppy
    1x Samsung SN-S082H Slimline DL DVD-RW
    2x Vantec SF8025L 80mm Fan

It's all assembled here, just waiting for the SE7520BB2D2 and ABBHEATSINKS...

This is going to be a much crazier build than Sammy1 was...

These are PC2-3200 CAS 3 ECC Registered, so it should be a textbook match for the expected specs. I'm not planning on doing anything funky with memory sparing or mirroring, so I don't anticipate any issues, but I guess we'll see?

I bought an extra 8 gigs for Sammy1 since the 16 gig is going to Sammy2. I'm shipping Sammy1 with the 8 gig to my brother this weekend. I'm on it right now and the 8 gigs are working fine too.
Then you DID read the manual..
