I had to clear cmos to get it to boot. With ACC disabled it will boot into windows and runs fine but just three cores are running. Any other setting that you would suggest I try?

I also tried the setting that Dumo used on the MA79T Deluxe and Disabled bank interleaving and set acc to auto then ram, nb and ht on auto. Still no joy.

Well, I was able to use the bios for M4A79T and unlock #4 core on my 0904BPMW. At first, the system couldn't even start, but after forcing the bios to set itself to default, it booted with #4 core unlocked.
But it seemed the cpu is not stable with 4th core unlocked. oh well.

Too bad my 720 Doesn't POST with ACC set to auto with that BIOS. I tried Auto and the option that lets you set everything by core. It showed core 0, 1, 2, 3. -2 is what i set, and no post again. Any advice? Or is this really a defective quad?

Hmm i always thought weaker cores used More Volts to get stable.

Try +2 or +4. ,, -2 may is taking volts away from that core. It would be like not giving a good CPU enuff Volts you will BSOD when you boot or OC if its not enuff.

m3a78-t with my 720 and this bios locks on 4 cores even at 1.55v core also locks up on prime at stock voltages.

I tried vista64 and xp64, both lockup right when prime 95 starts, must do a hard boot. Any ideas?

Maybe your fourth core is defect? Which batch do you have?

I've tried every configuration I know to get this to work. It shows 4 cores fine but locks up. One other note, windows shut down locks as well and I have to hit power to shut the machine down.

I think M4A79T DLX's Bios is not stable when enable ACC functions.
I have 0904CPCW CPU which can work to quadcore processors perfectly on DFI's LP JR 790GX.
But this processors doesn't pass stable test(like Prime95 or Intel Burn test.).
I think M4A79T-DLX's bios needs some debug.

Get an Intel PCI-X network card. It doesn't cost much and works a lot better.

I alwasy run OCCT for stability and with 4th core enabled my sytem hangs right away. This happens even all bios settings in auto.

What's the last 4 digits on the serial? I have one that ends 0073.
