You would haev been better with the DDR2 version mate, this board is really a pain in the butt... so many non working straps & dividers... MCH reference voltage is the key to get it somewhat stable... 500FSB is the best for me with rams at 1600mhz... highest FSB I could get the EP45T stable was 580FSB...

I think I hit my ceiling but I need to tweak more:

3.85GHz, but for some reason I can't get anywhere near 400FSB with this chip, the mobo just goes into "safe mode" right away no matter what voltages I throw at it. I just updated to P08 bios though so I may try again later.

Still nothing above 3.6GHz, I can do that @9X400 or 8X450, haven't gone past 1.4v Vcore in bios. Is my actual voltage closer to what CPUZ shows? My bios settings are in this thread, too tired to retype them now.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I never go over 1.4v in BIOS on a 45nm chip, but that's just me.

I can't get my chip anywhere near 400 FSB, I'm not sure if it's the board or chip though.

Well, it looks like the bios update fixed my 400FSB issues. Loaded right up at 3.6, 3.8 and 4.0 using up to 475FSB. Started to load 4GHz at 500FSB but BSOD'ed so I got even more tweaking to do.

As soon as I get more time to tweak, I plan to post some OCCT screens! Work is killing me right now though, 4am till 6pm is killer.

Made it to 3.8 with 1.41 vcore and 1.24 vtt9.5X400. I'll stress it when I get home from work.
Gillbot, I know what you mean about the work thing, but I am glad to have a job.

Not much more on the overall clock but the FSB has increased quite a bit since the last post! (see above, 350 to over 450FSB now!) It will go higher on the FSB (i've had it into sindows at 500) but I need more time to tweak and get it stable, this was just a quick tweak before bed. Dam work taking up all my spare OC time!

My ultimate goal is 4GHz and ~500fsb, though i'm not sure this OCZ ram can take it. I'll be extatic with anywhere between 400 and 450FSB and 4GHz overall though, especially since i'm not the biggest fan of OCZ ram but I couldn't pass up the deal I got on these 2x2GB sticks. They run ok so far though at 450FSB 4-4-4-12 timings with only 2.0 volts, not bad considering they are rated for 5-4-4-15 at 2.0-2.2v IIRC.

You should be able to do 3.6, 9X400, maybe bump vcore and vtt up one or 2 notches in bios. I have almost your same setup, I'm 3.8 but it took some tweaking. I'm new to overclocking so I'm just taking it easy. Have you bumped your memory voltage up?

3.94GHz so far, 400x10 takes over 1.39v to even boot and it's not stable. 3.95GHz or so may be my ceiling but i'm gonna tweak more to see for sure. It ran most of the way through linpack when I tried a higher FSB/lower multi and lower FSB/higher multi but it may need a tick more volts to be 100% stable. This chip just doesn't seem to like 400FSB exactly for some reason.

EDIT: I also had to lower my ram timings to 5-5-5-15 as they seemed to be getting unstable. There's little difference between 4-4-4-12 and 5-5-5-15 in everything I do anyway so i'm not too worried about it.

I'm afraid my current memory load out probably can't handle OCing... it doesnt have any heatsinks built into it..I just went for the most affordable memory I could find.. I guess I should upgrade to better memory then? asides from that, is there any other way I can coax my e7300 to go farther than 3.2ghz?

I believe you could raise your multiplier to 9, leave your FSB at 400 and hit 3.6. Maybe bump vcore and vtt a little.

Manually relax your timings in the bios to 6-6-6-18 and see if they'll go. I've seen some pretty crappy ram go to arounf 425-450 as long as you loosen the timings a bit. After you get it going, you can always tweak and tighten them later.

I'm fairly new to overclocking, although I checked that my memory timing's 6-6-6-18 already. I'll try to see if I can coax it to go 425...

what are the stock ram timings? Some Kingston doesn't clock well over their rated speed at all, even if you relax the timings.

Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

Welcome to my boat.. I can go to 3.2GHz on stock vcore, but then I have to suddenly crank up the volts (1.45) to squeeze 3.6..... something isn't right.

    I have a 7200 VID 1.2125, can do the same 3.2ghz 1.2v, and:
    - 1.32V for 3600mhz stable
    - 1.424v for 3800mhz stable

1.8 Vcore (1.84 with Dmm) FSB Term 1.2 and PLL 1.59... CPU doesn't like anymore pll voltage, gets unstable then
