What does that mean? Right now, I adjusted all Dram timings by myself according to memset and my own imagination and im kinda stable =)

i just got mine and the build quality is very impressive.now if i could just wrap my head around all these bios settings i could then maybe start OCing.

ok.all day ive been trying to figure this bios out,it is just so much info,a bit overwhelming to say the least.it was like i was afraid to even try to OC because i couldnt find any good templates for what i wanted so i used three different ones.and when i finally tried to dial in my first OC 8x500,unbelievable it worked.problem im having though is with the clock setting fine delay page.all the templates ive seen are using numbers like 67ps and 467ps,but im only able to dial in whole numbers.also im using my new crucial ballistics and these led's on them are starting to make me nervous.they are lighting up different for each stick,do they respond to too much voltage or bad OC's?

Update your BIOS to the latest version on DFI's site and you'll get the PS values for clock delay rather than the whole numbers. You really only have to worry about changing clock delays when you get freezes on POST for you RAM overclocks, or immediate errors in memtest.

You should be able to flash with a floppy drive, just make sure the disk is formatted as a DOS boot disc, and extract the contents of the ZIP file from DFI to the disk. It contains an autoexec.bat so you don't have to do much, just boot off the disk. As for your Everest scores, you're kidding right? Those look pretty good to me!

Have you tried setting the common clock crossing settings to More Aggressive, and Enhance Data transmitting and Enhance Addressing to Fast? Should boost bandwidth even more

EDIT-i flashed to the newest bios and still do not have the ability to use small values with clock fine delays.ill give it a try.EDIT-well i tried lowering cpu volts and it failed to get into windows, and with these setings the highest fsb to be able to get into windows is 510fsb.maybe my ref voltages are not right.also the vid on this chip is 1.25 if that makes any difference.

the newest bios was no good.i lost the ability to see all the voltages and temps in everest and smartguardian(vtt, vnb, all psuvolts,nb temp, chipset temp)very wierd also no matter what everytime id set the special add cpu volt and next reboot it was on auto.so i flashed to 5/21 and it seems ok now

Have you tried upping the NBCore a notch (1.45-1.50V)? It might help you getting you over 500FSB.

Hey Radaja how 'bout showing some numbers with your Q9650? Now that you've done it with the UD3P you should feel at home with your quad's personality.

i was thinking about it butright now i thought i make it easy on myself by getting the hang of this new board by using a dually first.good thing i did cause all i can get this board to do is 500x8 to 506x8 stable with the settings above anything else and it wont boot.few questions.is it normal that when you set an OC and the special add volts and boot back into the bios you have to reset special add volts again. because everytime it defaults back to auto.but it hold when you just reboot or turn off and then turn back on.

well after getting very frustrated with this board,i decided to just start clean with just the basics.i tried using the vcore at 1.38 instead of the special add, then i set vtt at 1.28.i disabled the gtl's and set vNB at 1.41.by doing this i was able to then successfully run 8.5x506.also i could lower the vcore to 1.36 and run 8x525 with just a bump in vNB.i think the gtl setting was just making it harder.still have no way of setting the fine clock delay in small increments.oh well this just keeps getting better, and i guess i'll figure it out eventually.

The settings for GTL are floating increments based on VTT. They are not based on mV or %.They allow rather fine adjustment.
With this board there are voltage measurement points. The link [for the measurement points] I bookmarked
is dead, but it used to be on edgeofstability.
Buy/borrow/[eat and assimilate to live as a DMM] a good DMM [Fluke 179,etc] and have at it if you can find the measurement points.
Just do load/no load measurements[including 3dMark,memtest,IBT,Prime95] for Vtt and GTL,then calculate to see if they are within spec, adjust as necessary,wash-rinse-repeat and BAM-learning/living your experience Learning is Fun
    Good Luck!
P.S.-Be sure not to touch other unwanted component legs when measuring the GTL chips, the legs are very close together and bridging the legs will freeze/fail test on PC.

Anyone else know where to find pics of the test points?? I don't have photobucket or whatever so I currently cannot provide my own pics but I know by heart where the points are.
