    Ideal wattage for 3-way setup?

I'm gonna start building my i7 core platform soon with GTX 285 on 3-way, was wondering which wattage would be recomended, is 1000w enough to power without struggling? or 1200w+? I had in mind the new Enermax Revo 85+ PSU's , was thinking on Corsair HX1000w too but since my config is going red it won't look good imo, any thoughts?

If you do any OC on the CPU or GPU's then definitely get at least 1000w. It's better to have too much than barely enough or not enough.
    Primary rig:
    e5200 @3.875 (12.5x310) / Gigabyte EP45-UD3R / Sapphire 4830 @720/940 / OCZ Platinum 2GB DDR2-1100 /
    Water cooled- CPU: Fuzion v1 / Laing D4 / Bonnieville Heatercore + MCR120

For sale: AMD 4200+ Toledo / ASROCK DUAL SATAII

It seems the Silverstone Zeus ZM-1200 is popular...it is what EVGA used for their benchmark. The Corsair HX1000 is really a 1300w supply (according to them and some reviews) that is rated at 1000w to keep the efficiency rating high. Three GTX280/285 cards and a 4-4.2GHz Core i7 with fans and pump would be a challenge for a 1000w supply. Additionally, most supplies get noisy close to their limits.

nVidia officially certifies the Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W model W0133RU for Tri 285 SLI.

nVidia official SLI PSU Certification: http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_build_psu.html

I personally would also recommend the PC P&C 1200W & Silverstone DA 1200W.
If you already had a Corsair 1000W, I'm sure it would also work.

    Good Gaming,
    Dave
