You beat me with 4850 and Tri-Core Phenom!
Nice one
I would need that new secret chip of yours to beat that score on AIR
Can you borrow it chew*?

Well what has work for me (i'am not nearly as good at overclocking as most the people on this board are) would be to add one more video card . It can help out to a point if you can not clock your cpu as high as the other guys. I do think the 3 4870 set-up is better than 2 4870x2 are and 4870x2 + 4780 . You also need the NB in the 2600 + range .I made my 22,137 point run with my 3850s @2700+ NB clock and the red ring on in AOD . Dam one more thing i also had to change over to 32-bit vista as well (help with my cpu overclocks).

Hi Raiderman..
What drivers are you using...!!
I'm using Cat 9.1 in Win7 64-bit..!!
I had a heck of a time getting them to install though..!!
Only way I could do it was from a clean install of Win7.. I'm not looking forward to the next Cat release, I don't fancy having to do a clean install just for a gfx driver update once a month..!!!
Other than that the only thing I can suggest is look at increasing NB and HT as high as you can, in addition to the CPU clocks....!!
I had to squeeze every last mhz out of mine to get 20717... I know I'll never break 21K without adding another card for tri-CF..!!
I don't think that my 940BE can get any higher, I may try max volts later on and see if I can get any more from it, but so far, I've gone up to 1.528v or thereabouts and it wouldn't do 3.9Ghz.... so I'm thinking it will take a big voltage jump to get it any higher...!!
Charged.. still waiting on those settings..I'd love to see if I can get to 3.9Ghz somehow...!!

Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.
Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.
Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.
Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.
Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

EDIT: (Now I have to work on cooling so I can get the cards and CPU overclocked a bit more. Or maybe I just need to splurge for that Danger Den case and 4x120 cooling system I've been drooling over.)

The only reason I post screen shot is because people ask about voltages and NB and HTT speeds, it just to save time of typing them out later
The funny part is my 940 BE bench rig is sitting on 10 year ATX pullout mobo mount
A lot of that extra cooling turns out to do nothing unless you push/pull cooling properly across the box
I found one 120 exhaust/one 80 in worked better then three 80 exhaust/three 80 intake and a lot quieter too.
If you can't push/pull properly across the box your just wasting money
I prefer a higher exhaust(pull), it creates a "vacuum effect", it has to take in more cooler air
If you do higher intake (push) you end up recirculating the hot air in the case unless you can exhaust the air at the same rate
I found out you have take each case at it own merits how to do push/pull system
screen shoots are good but typing out specs help me to update quicker

not real happy with these 4870x2's. 3 4870 trifire scored almost the same.

AMD RX 5700 XT
Vantage dose let the 4000 series cards show what they can realy do but i still just don't like the 4870x2 in tandom . I think the 3 4870 just make a better running set-up that easyer for the Phenom II to drive better so you get the most out the cards just my 2 cents .
