ATI CrossFire Xtension v1.1 - A way to force crossfire w/ profiles

    Description:
Ever ran into a problem where you could not use your big, multiple ATI GPU setup on a new game?
Don't worry, many people have had the same issue, and up until now, the only solution was to
wait for an updated build of the Catalyst drivers, which usually takes over a month! Now, that
problem has a solution! ATI CrossFire Xtension allows you to create custom profiles that will
force CrossFire (ATI multi-GPU solution) support on non-supported, or new, games and applications.

    Requirements:
    	-Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0 (minimum)
-An non-crossfire supported Direct3D/OpenGL game (usually)
-Two or more ATI graphics cards (dual-GPU on single PCB counts)
    	-Windows XP/Vista (32-bit or 64-bit)

    Instructions:
Extract the program to its own folder, then run the program. Add a game/application to the program
to create a profile for that game/application. Be sure to select the correct rendering method! If
you aren't sure which one your game uses, you can always check Google! Then, launch the game by
selecting, then double-clicking the game, or click the Launch button. Your profile settings will be
saved upon quitting the program, or you can manually save by hitting the Save button. The profile will
be saved as "ATI_CF_Xtension.ini" in the same folder.

    Enjoy!

Just greate, nice work, thumbs up!!!
But, trying it at Crysis Wars, for me, it just make it worse. Maybe it's game issue, but i doesn't work here. Which doesn't mean, that this isn't hell of a greate tool, thanks!

Is there anyway to import CCC settings or is that still in the works?

I would suggest adding a link to a file to decompress the rar files. There will be those who don't know how to decompress the file without help. I just used 7-Zip since it was free.

    Nice work though!

Doesn't Crysis Wars already support CF?

appears to generate a crysis.exe & run it (& probably something else for gl)

no change in saintsrow2 (patch1), still 50% usage on both gpus as regular... though technically that IS crossfire working isnt it

is this just a hassle free way of renaming exes?

You need .NET Framework v2.0 at minimum, and preferably UAC disabled.

Seems to just copy the game exe and rename it to Crysis.exe and pastes it back in the program folder and run that?

That's if you selected "Direct3D". If you select OpenGL, it copies the application executable as "etqw.exe" and runs that.

The whole point of this program is to make the process much easier, and everything is grouped into a profile.

i wonder.. dont certain games use different rendering techniques? would then renaming something to that end up using the technique?

one problem with renames though.. spyre has said this himself, for example, fallout3 renamed to oblivion causes other bugs

maybe a future feature of this app is to have a dropdown or something to choose different names of the exe

It worked great but I have a few more games to test. Prince of Persia, Left 4 Dead, Silent Hill Homecoming, Command And Conquer 3 (RA3 - All of the expansions) I'll let you know how that goes.
