They might get close but, all joking aside, if a part destined to be a 2000C7 won't pass the screen for 2000C7, we test it again and validate it at 1866. If it passes our screen for 1866, then that's what it is sold as.

No need to wonder since as i already posted is at the same price. Is there a large gap in perforamance difference between 2000c7 and 2000c8, since c7 seems impossible to get.

At the time I posted, the Corsair shipping info stated that they did not ship internationally or to P.O. boxes (which I quoted within the thread). After I posted that I emailed Ram Guy about it. That was on Saturday. Monday they updated the store shipping information to state it was international shipping. First thing monday morning Ram Guy posted this info in that same thread I linked to above.

So as long as people read the whole thread chronologically, they'll be fine
it was just word of mouth for me
    iwasnt aware of the thread

    all good then
the guy that told me about shipping advice needs to read it all properly heheh

keep in mind Everest is still a little wonky with i7 and read/copy can variate up to as much as 1K at any time, but here are the timings you asked for, along with a single 32M. the SPi is in Vantage with no tweaks so ignore the times, but you can compare the two as the conditions for each run were identical.

    first up 7-8-7-20 2T...
    click for full size...

    and 8-8-8-24 2T...
    click for full size...

i went with 2T on the DFI because it gives better bandwidth
i don't quote in my signature, but best WR ever...

I cant thank you enough for your post. Either +/- 1K in Everest is very clear that the difference is minimal. At least for someone that need them for an everyday pc and dont bench all the time

I just checked both pics again and the vdimm is 1.74v. Is this correct?

for daily use, don't even consider there to be a difference...benching 32M, that is a different story. the 2000 8-8-8 and 1866 7-8-7 kits are very nice looking kits for those that aren't going to need the extra little umph that the 2000 7-8-7 kits offer.

yes, i had voltage up to 1.75v set in BIOS. those screenshots above were literally the 3rd and 4th boot that i did with those sticks. i have no idea what voltage they needed so i went with 1.75v vDIMM and 1.55v VTT set in BIOS. they likely don't need to be that high for single 32M SPi. glad they were helpful for you
