No clue why it got moved but anyway, must be If its not intel its not Xtreme ( my intel chip on air @ 4.2g never got moved )

OCZ vindicator ( blame movieman ), 1.60v got 4220, 1.675v got 4242, I probably could have done it with the same volts but I was curious how much I could put into it on air before bootup BSOD, I never found the limit as 1.7v is more than scary on air for reference my other chip dislikes anything above 1.60v ( bootup BSOD on AIR ), temps I have no clue, nothing accurate. K type read 23C on heatpipe as close as I can get to center of IHS.

    Nice chip chew*

Is this validation all 3 cores at that speed? If yes, then very good result
Should be strong chip to do some 3DM03/05 damage when under cold

yes all 3 cores no smoke and mirrors, wouldn't waste my time or your time with individual core clocking. Looking forward to DI, with less heatdump and this being clocked 200Mhz lower than my 940BE yet matching it in speed it should be very nice.

...it's still in the Xtreme section, right? I feel it belongs here just as much as the gazillion 920 air threads and wolfdale @ 5g on air stuff that pops up from time to time I cant imagine a neutral person would see it any other way, 4.2 is sweet on Deneb @ air no mater how you look at it.

Frack, for some reason I read OCZ Vindicator as RAM. Sad thing is I've used that cooler in a build before.

Not quite over yet, air cold air but still positive temps +25C at the core would be my guess. temp probe says 15C on heatpipe.

Very nice chew*. Are you gonna even bother with benches before you run with dice?

Is that air cooled or other?

Looks like the X3 720's can OC pretty well. I use WC so I'm hoping I get a good OC when I get my X3.

DI results...I didn't bother posting them in xtreme overclocking because I am personally not happy with my results.

It wasn't the chip it was me, I had a wicked migraine and didn't throw everything I had at it.
