    Question 64-bit CD/DVD database/catalog software?

I'd like to switch to a 64-bit OS but there are a few apps/utilities that I have to replace before I do. The most important is 'WhereIsIt?' which is a data CD/DVD cataloging/database app. I've been googling like a mofo but not finding anything that looks promising. Everything I've found so far is 32-bit only or for cataloging actual music and movie CDs/DVDs, which is not what I need. I just need something that will scan a data disc and allow me to number it so I can search the database, find what I need and pull the disc.

    Any ideas?

32-bit software works perfectly fine on x64 Windows.

    Red face

Well now I just feel silly. I was under the impression that they aren't compatible. Are you 100% sure about this? Why is some software available in both 32 and 64?

When I made the switch to 64bit Vista I only found one of my 32 bit programs that wouldn't work with Vista. It was Studio 10, I went to the web site for the software and they had a free download of the program for use with 64 bit operating systems. Some software comes in both 32 bit and 64 bit versions because 64 bit software is incompatible with a 32 bit operating system. You can run 32 bit software on a 64 bit operating system but you can't do it the other way around. You will see more 64 bit software as 64 bit operating system use grows. Some point down the line you will see the end of 32 bit all together, but its still years off.
