Mmmm, I apologize for a noob question, but what's the story with CPUz and OCCT not detecting my vCORE?

Plus ASUS probe says 1.5V while it should be 1.35 according to the BIOS?

The combo is PII 940, ASUS M4A79 DLX, Vista 64, latest versions of CPUz & OCCT...

this is my new toy =) not a great chip, i had a chance to poke around with it last night for awhile and i think its an avg clocker. validated @ 4.125 no problem, didnt keep pushing. its running occt right now 15x250 for 3.75ghz @ 1.47v, 25 minutes in. in my closed case, temps are(hwmonitor): max temp 50c, idle 32c, ambient 23c. this is on xig s1283 w/ 2000 rpm fan nothing fancy, illl be putting a ultra kaze 3000 on it probaby in the near future

edit: passed occt with those settings, touched 50c 1 time otherwise sat around 47-48c... time for more mhz

yo guys i got a question, does upping the northbridge frequency on the phenom 2 show any performance increase. ive got a phenom 2 940be with 1066 ddr2 ram from ocz and asus m3a79-t deluxe motherboard. got ti to 3600mhz on 1.45v but just by changing the cpu multiplier to 18, so im wondering if its worth upping the nb speed.

The most interesting thing was that the cpu clocks better on the stock multiplier(x15) and bus increase.

Im a little confused though K10stat is showing me cpu voltage as 1.46v instead of 1.55v that cpuz shows.

Hey, i used the newest bios.
Now i ahve my Asus M3A79-T Deluxe.
I can't get my 24/7 clocks anymore..
With Foxconn 14.5x250fsb and Ht and NB multiplier was 9 and vcore 1.45v.
With Asus canät but those
I have now 17.5x200@1.4327v + VDDA 2.5v and Ht and NB 2.6GHz@1.4v
(With 1.45v it didn't pass Linx)

I don't have newest bios..yet.
I Just don't know why i cant get even 250fsb stable..

This is weird, but next week i will do new records, i amd trying get 4.4GHz CPU-Z Validion and 4GHz wprime 1024m record and run 32m max what i can get..

Maybe try fast 3Dmark06 with 4.1GHz.

It runs 3.6GHz and 2.6GHz NB on stock voltage stock cooler.

It even ran Prime but it bluescreened probably due to high temps.

Did SuperPi 1M at 3.7GHz easy.

Bluescreen = unstable, not temp related. 1mb PI is cake even unstable, try cinebench,3d06. looks decent though, likely 3.8 24/7 with good air.

on my 0850epdw i can get 3797mhz 1.504v occt stable 245x15.5 -- 51c was max temp,,, ill finetune my v's and run it again for a screenshot in the near future.... overall 3.8ghz 1.5v <52c max temp = i am ing happy!

Try SPi 32M and you'll beg for the end. If you want colourful tests don't search them in the cpu part of the forum.

I dunno does an OCZ vindicator (Scythe ninja knockoff with worse temps ) perform better or worse than PH II stock cooler? I think its a preety close one

My PSU arrived!

Installing watercooling next few days, I hope this will give me 4Ghz or more.

Also Dominator RAM cooler came in, might actually re-install my Transcend Axe RAM's (N, aka D9GMH).
