Any word on release/availability though? Or availability for the 1366kit?
1366 kit is available now directly from TR, should be at retailers next week (or when 1366 launches to retail) if history is any indication.

Thx. We'll prolly see it soon then

Holding off some orders atm, most is pre-order. Im waiting for some shops to make their real ETA available. No point in pre-rdering if said shop is to be lazy and only sell it 2 months after other shops get it heh

LardArse why did you disable the HT for a quick superpi run?

    It's faster with HT off?

    Thanks

Full List of Core i7 (LGA 1366) Compatible Heatsinks:

Here's a list of confirmations received for LGA 1366 support:

    Thermalright - all Ultra series, HR-01 Plus, HR-01 4U, HR-01 3U and Ultima 90.
Noctua - All coolers. Free upgrades to LGA1366 brackets for current Noctua heatsink owners.
Scythe - All coolers. Brackets will be sold separately and parts supporting LGA1366 will be given a 'Rev. B' addition to the name. The new Mugen 2 will suport LGA1366 from the get go
Thermaltake - V1 and Big Typhoon VX will be updated with LGA1366 support. All Thermaltake water cooling ('LCS') will be updated for LGA1366 support. No confirmation of being able to buy the brackets separately but the new brackets have been given individual part numbers (A100069 for V1 and A100070 for Big Typhoon VX) so I would presume they will be made available separately.
Coolermaster - The V8 will have LGA1366 compatibility (should be in Aus @ Rectron in the next container due in about four weeks) and the Aquagate Max is being updated for LGA1366 with a likely revamp of the water block used - details were sketchy but it was mentioned it needs the block needs to be redesigned.
    ASUS - Triton 81 cooler.
    Nexus - FLC-3000 cooler.

Anybody know where to buy the 1366 bracket? Running with stock heatsink is boring. Also, are they selling that TRUE fan separately too? If so, that would make a great match with my TRUE Black Edition!

All systems sold. Will be back after Sandy Bridge!

They should be. You can put any fan you want in that fan bracket though 38mm thick fans aren't impossible either

Really? as long as 38mm fans fit in there then the new bracket is fine

Dies it fit and connect as intended or do you gotta "make it work"?

At the store I ordered my CPU, motherboard and bolt-thru kit everything will be available tomorrow/this week, but the kit in 14 days. So guess what I canceled lol.

I found a shop already having the TRUE 1366 RT in stock, so ordered that instead. Now Im only 'afraid' the RAM I ordered wont be available yet, but I hope it actually is.

It appears they're available in Europe and Australia today but not the USA.

Hopefully we'll get them later this week...

ing wonderful. So while Ive found the one being available already, the complete order has to wait anyway because all the shops decided to bring their ETA back. CPU and motherboard went from 2-3 days to 14 days, RAM went from 1-5 days to 10-20 days

And I was afraid I had to let the motherboard and CPU wait because the bracket might not be available yet...

Well, the worse part is that they already haven the cooler reserved for me. They've even 4 more in stock. But the RAM went from 1-5 days to 10-20 days, but since an hour it's back at 1-5 days again

I have the TRUE. It's awesome, you DO have to lap it for sure. It's a wobblefest. It's amazing with these companies, all their research, time, money, engineering, advertising/marketing...etc and they can't run a lathe across the bottom of this unit so it will actually do what it is supposed to do? AMAZING! Heres some shots of mine lapped.

If you decide to polish make sure the last step you use some Articlean Thermal Metal Purifier.

Looks a good cooler little stingy not to give two fans for push and pull config though, Noctua's 1366 still looks to be about the best i7 air cooler
