I know chew*, I'm watching your progress in other threads

I'm already considering making a pot and looking for DI supply.
If it's not very expensive in UK then I might have something fixed for April.

If you need help/tips making one LMK. I'm working on a design for LN2 atm, DI is fun but just not going to cut it for me anymore.

Here is a revised score. I lost my resistor for my Mod...I will have to go back to the Shack. I modded the bios to work with 9.1 so I could raise MEM a lil more. still tweaking.

Bump me up a couple more places if you dont mind MSI.

This is about as good as it gets with the 940's I have, but Ill have a 945 in a couple days and that should carry me up into the top 5 anyways.

    940@3900mhz NB@2600mhz
    HD4870x2 @ 800/950
    Win7 64bit

Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

You should be able to get 1200mhz on the ram. I can get that on all 3 of mine. That give you a lil boost. Also, 3.9ghz on the CPU should be at least 3dmark06 passable. I can give you some of my setting that you can try out. Our systems are almost identical.

I'll take you up on the offer of settings if thats OK..???

I've tried a few things, I'm fairly certain my RAM won't go to 1200Mhz, I've tried upping the vDimm from 2.1 to 2.3v and still no go..!!

Possibly 3.9Ghz may be able to hold on long enough for a 3DM06 run, not sure.... I usually give it a quick check with AOD stabilty test all tests, if it lasts 30mins then I stop it and run a bench.. if it fails I try upping volts notch at a time...!!

Thats why its taken me so long to get up to 1.53v from 1.4625v.. One setting at a time, try, fail, try again. fail, try again, fail...........

At 1.53v idle temp was 38C load temp well it got up to 46C before crashing, which most of the time has been 2-3mins into testing...!!

    Any suggestions would be welcom..
