Thanks everyone for the compliments and being patient to follow my build. Unfortunately, I'm still working out of town and don't have much time to work on the build. I've been working on a few things in my spare time, but not enough to post pics of the progress. I've been working on the SS system and making changes to the liquid loop. I had to change the GPU block mounts and started building a NB block for the third loop. I sometimes wish I stuck with the original design, but I think in the end it will be a better cooling system for todays high watt components.

By the way, I'm thinking of using a controller from a Mach II system I have laying around to control the Danfoss SC12CLX.2 compressor in the SS system. Does anyone think I will have problems with using a larger compressor than what came in the Mach II? Just curious

Mach controllers blow fuses as it is Yeah I doubt you'll get her running with a SC18CLX.2, however you can take the PId and look up its product info, and use it as a PID for sure. Just not the control board.

Looking nice so far. I remember reading about this about a year ago and thinking it was finished by now. Thankfully you've managed to continue the awesomeness of this project. I can't wait to see the end results (but not too soon).

    Hey Guys,

Been awhile since my last post. Thought I would give you guys a little update, since a few people have been asking for pics. As I stated before, I'm still working out of town and don't have much time to work on the project. But, I should start working around home in a few weeks and I will make time to finish the build. I'm still working on a few things in my spare time, but not much progress. So, here is a few pics of what I'm putting together for my SS and I also made some changes to my CrossFlow evaporator. I will keep you guys posted with my progress.

This is my new design of the CrossFlow evaporator. The channels are enlarged and the base is 4mm thick.

Its a tight fit, but think I have enough room. The HX will be mounted under the case and I still need to make the fan shroud.

Wait until you see how I'm running the evaporator and suction line in the cooling chamber.

Yes, I make my evaporators, amoung other things. The evaporator is 2" diameter and has unique flow for the refrigerant. Here is a link to more evaporators I made. They would be best used on a cascade.

Let me know when you might be in the area. I moved to Pawleys Island, so I'm a little further down the coast line.

    Thumbs up

I just read through from page 1, this is most excellent. What an amazing feat of engineering my friend, congratulations!

My only recommendation is getting mytekcontrols to build you a nice sub -100c autocascade in place of the ss you're planning!
This is really amazing, hats off to you!

I also just read all the way through this thread for the first time, thanks to aenigma's link in the Vapor Phase Change Cooling forum.

This has got to be the most fantastic, beautifully detailed and executed refrigeration system that I have ever seen. Just flat out amazing work!!!

I'll have to take more time in the future to visit the various sections to see what others are up to.

Waiting very impatiently for updates. This project is what inspired me to try out some chilled water myself.
