    Lamptron FC-2 Humming Noise

anyone here have a lamptron fc-2? If so does yours hum when its below 3/4s of the way turned...

its really annoying as I have the fan controller for a reason and to have to always have a loud/annoying noise isn't helpful

If you have one please share your experience

    BTW fans using

    2 Scythe Slipstreams - 110 cfm version

    2 Scythe Ultra Kazes - 133 cfm

    2 92mm Panaflow - 88 cfm

So i'd like to not have the noise all the time... but when I turn the fans down theres a REALLY loud and annoying humming sound so I was wondering if anybody knew what it was or how to fix it

    From Sidewindercomputers.com :

Information: Due to the FC-2 design, these controllers are suitable for fans which pull 20 to 45 watts. Using fans which pull much less power, such as Panaflo L1BX or San Ace 120 1011s, may result in a "pulsing" effect once the fan speed is lowered to 50% power or less. We recommend these controllers with Delta FFB1212GHE, AFB1212GHE rev C. and so forth.

its like a really mono tone humming noise

and the fans don't move at all until atleast 75 % turn

I got one of these, and I don't have this issue at all. I read a review and they described a similar problem to what you're describing. I was a little concerned about the quality control of this when I first installed it, but it (knock on wood) turned out alright so far.

Here is a link to that review.
