from my perspective it looks like this top turn the V1 fuzion into somewhat of a ghetto V2 (since the tops look very similar to the V2 stock top)

ok i rephrase : into a V2 wanna be, to me look like a V2(inside not the outside look) ,"blingier" but also $XX more expensive.

We jus need some test results to see if the performance is better than stock that way the price tag can be justified.

You do know this is also for v2, right?

To me, the price is justified by the part's obvious quality and exclusivity. Added performance is just icing on the cake.

To be frank, I bought one because it looks cool and has a potential performance benefit (higher with my v1 than the v2, I suspect). Priorities in that order.

If you really think about it from a performance perspective, a 1-3c improvement alone is hardly worth $xx, is it?

yeah it also works on the V2 and adds bling bling to it, but is it any better than a stock V2? that was my point ,since personally i WC for performance not aesthetics i run a completely sealed case with no windows...but that is beyond the point and to each their own.

The rule of thumb that Swiftech and others use is 2% clocks for every 10C IIRC

This of course varies....i7s don't really care much about temps, while Ph2 scales with temps. Core 2s are somewhere in the middle, closer to the 2%/10C

the problem is... they cost alot to make. i cant go too low or i'll be loosing money.

money aside...

im sending a top off for testing this week then we will have some numbers. i guaranty you that its better than both v1 and v2. its a lot less restrictive and provides lower temperatures.

i didnt spend all this time on doing 5 different versions of these and testing them on different setups to make 60 POS tops that only look cool. i guess you need numbers to see that im not making this up.

did i mention these work on AMD too?

I can attest that the top I got from Fits was very nicely made and fit fine...no leaks. It looked awesome with black coolant and a 4" CCL tube.

I can't attest to what benefit it gave in cooling because there was no before and after testing.

So on stock cooler my C2D 6600(2.4) runs at 61c IDLE 70 Load. as you might guess that chip did not want to overclock at all, so i water cooled it i dropped it to 40c IDLE and managed to OC it to 3.2GHZ and get a 55c load.(34% OC)(first OC value current is way higher)

Now if i were to go by the rule of thump i would gain 2% overclock for every 10c i drop in temperature ? so my OC according to the RT would be 2.5ghz*(4% increase).

Now please don't laugh if i bastardized the rule of thump or misinterpreted how it works, just trying to make some sense out of all mar"tian" hieroglyphs sometimes used here.

here is something to stir up some more chatter....

on the left is the older version from my last batch that CD spoke of...

notice how its nice but a tad cloudy without any water in it.


the one on the right is the new version made with a higher grade of acrylic.


also... the new version is shorter to eliminate the air pocket that some people reported in the first batch.(was difficult to bleed all the air out at first, new version is fixed)

My point is that it's a high quality piece of kit. I like things like this even if they don't increase performance. It's not about the bling to me (my H2o PC is in p180), but knowing what I have is quality. I enjoy working with quality parts.

I'm certain this will improve temps on my v1, and also fairly sure it will better the v2, but that's just not why I bought mine

what do you guys think about a version of these made for the dtek gfx block or possibly the mcw-60?

Why spend the extra money when a little extra planning on the manufacturer's part can solve the issue rather easily? I'm not sure if anyone will be able to fit 1/2" x 3/4" without a little serious effort but 3/8" x 5/8" shouldn't be to much of a problem.

dude fits tops are nice.

And they look very simple and efficient.

the only quams i have is it costs as much as the block itself.

but besides that price point, there very excellent tops, and very well designed.

only way to get the price down is to make more....

i cant even sell the ones i have so why would i make more?
