New parts courtesy of the wife Time to really see what this chip can do.

A close up of the ram Yes those are brand new in the box 2x2g D9's

I traded the video card to my buddy that was having trouble with my old 2600's one is borked for overclocking ram due to him not cleaning them........However the cores are still more than willing to be tortured

Check post 4 that I'm updating now.

I would say they are d9's, version 1.1 was d9 regardless of size, just cant run the timings as tight with 2x2 gig , You can't get these anymore and the fact that i found them is miracle.

High end air results page 1 post 4 added, this is about as good as it gets on air, I will update with 3d benches with my HD4870 in a few days .

I have 6 sticks of that ram I havent been using. 4 are version 1.1 and 2 are version 1.2 are they all d9?
Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

    Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

    Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

    Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

yep and with 2.2 volts they should kick ass, thay are like crack to overclockers.... and no longer available.

Current versions can't even do rated timings/speed. 2x1 gig sticks of version 1.1 or 1.2 should do 4-4-4-10 ddrII 1000

damn, wonder why I ever put them up in the closet when I could be using them
noticed the version 1.2 is rated at 2.1v and the 1.1 is rated at 2.2v? still think they are same ram?

Ran into some memory issues, and some vidcard issues, I think for the most part I have them sorted out now.

If all works out as planned I should be able to take down some card specific 3d records, one of which is my own and a trifecta for 01 to 05, first attempt will be on air.

Hehe thx simon but I'm just getting warmed up. Lucky for me thats to big for someone to sig

Been a while since i've seriously benched so I needed to get in the groove, I still have a few cards here to play with. X300 Just need to find the darn drivers that allow ati tool to work so I can clock it, I'm lost with modding this particular bios except for in hex. I may have to mod this card, I already replaced faulty caps. Now where is that darn 4.11 driver at.

I also appear to be #5 now in cpu-z for A64 3800x2, guess i'm going to have to bake and curl another chip to take it back, good thing I just nudged the record and it had more in it

Once I'm done I'm going to tackle single card 4870 and maybe just maybe Xfired 4870's. I have a feeling i'm going to need LN2 for that though.

unfortunately my rather "obscure" results are a sign of the times $$ If it's already at my disposal however I'm going to do my best to take it down and not by a couple of points.

Heh well I can tell you this much, none of them were a walk in the park and as you see Cpu doesn't matter much, just enough to eliminate any bottlenecks.

The bios's for the 2600 pro's were highly modified and not with just RBE, I have quite a few fans on them for a reason (voltage beyond normal with RBE)
The cores can now do over 800 if i can keep them cool, nature in 01 is still a .

The IGP limits your ability to attain High clocks. That took some serious fine tuning.

I also Hosed the bios once, it would not even back up to the secondary bios, I also hosed the cards working on the bios, at one point neither the cards or motherboard were working.

I'm also sure loco is not going down that easily, he may have a reserve or reattempt and he's no slouch.
