If DisplayPort continues gaining popularity I am sure that we would release some models with DisplayPort. I haven't seen anything yet though.

Okay.. I won't be looking to upgrade until I can get rid of those fat DVI cables and connectors, but then again there are hardly any DisplayPort monitors out there anyway to begin with.. And I certainly don't want any Sony DRM (HDMI) in my PC, they can keep that for their silly TVs.

Best of all, our ATI-based cards will come with all of the popular features that XFX is known for, including our unparalleled 5-Star support, access to customized drivers and factory overclocking.
You might want to make it clear to you international Warranty departments otherwise its a false statement... because as you have seen and read the rest of the world gets treated like crap from XFX...

It will be both. We will be continuing with NVIDIA and adding in ATI solutions.

Black PCB's as well I hope?

If not It's just a meh from me. That is one of the only reasons why I left ATi, a bright red video card just didn't fit with how I wanted my system to look, so I hinted for a black 8800gt and XFX was the only one that had em, so you got my business.

Keep the line black and it's likely you'll see more of my business in the near future.

It was the mean reason I upgraded from my X1900XT. Red video card just looked like crud in my build.

Black PCB with the stock layout to make vmods easy is what I want to see Not like I already have 2 Visiontek HD4870s or anything, but it would be nice to see.

Come to ATI lulz! And my xfx 8800gt has a green pcb -_-

And great news! I don't plan on buying any more 4000's but when I feel the urge to upgrade and xfx has some new ATI cards i'll check um out and black PCB's ftw.

Wait, even better! You should make black and red striped ati cards :P

Any word on when the standard HD4870's will be availible on Newegg? The only versions up are the "XXX" 4870's. Just wondering because an XFX rep on another forum said that this Wednesday (today) would be the realistic time to see availibility.

    Core i7 920 D0 B-batch (4.1) (Kinda Stable?) | DFI X58 T3eH8 (Fed up with its' issues, may get a new board soon) | Patriot 1600 (9-9-9-24) (for now) | XFX HD 4890 (971/1065) (for now) |
    80GB X25-m G2 | WD 640GB | PCP&C 750 | Dell 2408 LCD | NEC 1970GX LCD | Win7 Pro | CoolerMaster ATCS 840 {Modded to reverse-ATX, WC'ing internal}

    CPU Loop: MCP655 > HK 3.0 LT > ST 320 (3x Scythe G's) > ST Res >Pump
    GPU Loop: MCP655 > MCW-60 > PA160 (1x YL D12SH) > ST Res > BIP 220 (2x YL D12SH) >Pump

Anyone? I've already delayed my video card purchase 3 weeks now waiting for the standard version, and I also have a brand new Dell 24' monitor sitting here unused until I get a new card.

Quick question is the 4870 a reference design? I want to know since I want to water cool it using a Koolance 4870 block.

That was what the pic's alluded to, as they had the AMD logo above the PCI-E slot. However, retail cards i've seen, such as the ones on Newegg, don't have that logo, so who knows.

Again, can someone from XFX enlighten us on when the non "XXX" 4870's will be avalible? If this isn't answered soon, XFX has lost a customer, I'll take my business elsewhere.

Yes the 4870 is reference design so your block should fit. I have had a 4870 1GB at home since we launched them running 850/1050. I like them.

I am not sure when stock clocked 4870s will be available.
