+90FPS because the video card has to do less work. The first graph shows the system is GPU limited with Crysis.

This thread is funny, and a perfect example of how the gaming tweens assume there is only one user profile for CPUs. This is a "better" value etc..

Seriously the only thing stopping me is RAM availability. ECC Buffered is crazy expensive in Malaysia, and I'm just referring to the DDR2 version

what wrong with Non-ECC ? those ECC are for servers and has no benefits for gaming/apps, etc

Why do people feel the need to go into a thread about dual core processors and make a statement about quads being "better"? I can't imagine seeing a thread about a new quad and posting in it about how dual core is able to hit way higher frequency and still crushes quad in 50% of the popular benchmarks. Is that just insecurity, or is it ignorance to the fact that some enthusiasts may own ten duals and ten quads and use certain chips for certain tasks? Why is there a need to make a statement about what is the "better" choice? That assumes all of the readers share the same perspective. It's ANNOYING!

With some work, you might be able to get a Q9650 at 4.6ghz stable, 24/7

I'm running fsb 2000 here with 8GBs on an x48 24/7, and this is not the highest stable clocked Q9650 around; I know shocking, considering the fact that much noise has not been made about this chip.
