You'll need to use WPCREDIT to reduce the NB multi, but then with decent temps 4ghz is entirely possible.

Actually with the new beta bios, there is a bug where the HT multi actually is the NB multiplier. I raised my northbridge, so lowering it shouldn't be a problem. It's bios 1.7b4.

    Hello again!

I finally managed to get my Windows x32 install to a SSD drive! Experiment went successful and this is what I was able to come up with:

    Close to max. AIR clock:
    4200MHz@1.58V

Above run settings: NB 11x; HTT 200MHz; AIR TT 120 Ultra + 12cm FAN 1200RPM

This is fairly stable (1h benching and playing around), I will try to prime it tomorrow.

Are you referring to the HT ratio? This doesn't change the NB multplier, just the HT ratio.
This is the only thing holding me back right now. My ram does 1080mhz+. I NEED to be able to lower the damn NB multi!!! STUPID K9A2!

i got to admit, it is allways something i missed in this board im using (AX78) the annoying thing is that it states that the nb multi is there in the manual,

must have made the manual before the bios, as its not

I had the crosshair II, and when it went bad after a bad flash, i went to the shop i got it and took something else instead.
It has so many features and flashy things but it is nothing special. At least with phenom I.

I'm saying that in the beta bios, the HT Multiplier is mis-labeled. I raised the ht multiplier, and instead of it raising the HT Ratio, it raised the northbridge.

Yes it is; Bios 1.7b4. In my previous screenshot, (post 850) look at my cpuz tabs. I have a my northbridge at 2200. The htt is still at 200, with an ht link of 1800. Rams is running at 1066mhz as well. The multi is there and working, it's just mislabelled as HT multi in the bios. I have the NB multi at 11, and the ht multi at 9. Also, the ram timings are buggy in this bios. Alot of the ram numbers simply say "reserved", but after trial and error I have found the correct "reserved" value to equal 5 5 5 15 30.

Ah ok. So you have HT Ratio and HT Multiplier options? I only have HT Ratio.
