Did i mention that my Ballistix do 600MHz 5-5-5-15 2.1V on my Commando, so it has to be mobo related.
No, it could be the variation of the memory chips on the sticks. Just like CPUs, they have different voltage/speed envelopes. In DDR3, with Intel current Core i7 voltage requirements they are binned for speed AND voltage. Some that do well at 2.1v, may draw more current than others, TTBOMYU.

Just tryed the "JRP45E8500+DDRII 1066_OCProfile_812BIOS" DFI ABS profile, with both my OCZ 8500 and Crucial 8500 (both D9MGH), all "banks" no go on both set's

EDIT: Not even my freaking Dominators at only 450MHz 5-5-5-15-5-42 will do!

    Hey guys,

Im having a few issue overclocking atm. Am trying to boot past 3.4GHZ on my Q6600 but PC doesnt post. PC is Prime95 stable at 9x356 (3.2GHZ) but at 372 fsb it crashes, whereas 371 fsb is fine :/?
I have tried both 812 and 1003 BIOS but no difference.

    These are the settings I have been working with;

    vCore - +100mV - +200mV)
    vNB - 1.3v - 1.4v
    vTT- 1.2v - 1.3v
    vDIMM - 2.1
    Multiplier - 9x
    FSB - 356- 380
    Timings - 5-5-5-13
    Ram Frequency - 940mhz - 1115mhz
    EIST - disabled
    CIE - disabled

If anyone could give me a hand it would be greatly appreciated as I am at a total loss as to where to go

    Cheers,

Try a High(est) FSB run please (with relaxed timings)
and PLL+/Vtt+/VCore+ for stable ocing too.

Don't let ram divider on auto.

Hrm so I picked this board up for my e8600 and a few things.

    1) I've updated bios to the latest
    2) PCI-E slot #1 runs at 8x not 16x
    3) This board is extremely finicky with overclocking. Where I could get 4.6 on my p45 Biostar I can barely break 4.3 on this guy.

RAM stability increased on my board. With D812 and DA07 i couldent OC for crap, my CPU was stable (Small FFTs) but my RAM failed badly not matter what. But now some (still not very impressive) stable RAM OC is possible

Can someone tell me if I'm asking to much from this board by trying 420x10?

I can't figure out if it doesn't like that high of a clock or I have a board with a deep hole around 420.

"Plus + A3 Rev." is best choice (as a DFi P45 DDR2 board)

I have tryed all my 3 sets, one pair of Ballistix 8500 "D9MGH" (they work the best, but not great), OCZ 8500 SLI Edition "D9MGH", and some Dominators 6400C4D "ProMOS".

But it is still hell to get them stable, i have found a "sweetspot" eventhoug it isent very sweet, at 450MHz 1:1 5-5-5-15-5-42, Performance lvl 9, 2.05V. Anything past that no go
With D812 and DA07 i couldent get ram stable at any overclock only at default BIOS settings. Volts and timings didnt make any difference at all, but im not very much into the sub's, other than waht i mentioned abov.

My CPU is stable Small FFTs stable at up to 500FSB (havent testet further, as im just looking for a good 24/7 OC).

Guys: Playing with DFI X48-T2RSB Plus (Latest Beta Bios - C24 12/24/08).

    With VDroop Enable:

    Bios: 1.375
    Idle: 1.38
    Load: 1.328

    With VDroop Disable:

    Bios: 1.375
    Idle: 1.38
    Load: 1.344

This appears to be flipped or is my understanding of this setting incorrect. My chip needs 1.34 to be stable at 450FSB on P5Q Pro (Needs 1.34 under load). I am able to hit this on the DFI but I have to Disable Vdroop to be stable.

Did any one else having this issue or something is wrong with the board?

    Exclamation 12 volt down

There is such problem: when I load a video card with game or the program (Video Card Stability Test, OCCT) occurs a procorf on 12в to 11.47 ~11.55 volt. But if to connect FDD конектор for an additional food of a video card that more low 11.90 not просаживается. FSP Epsilon 800W. The Same situation was with GA-p35-dq6. Thought that the block (Corsair tx 650W) has changed on FSP and all too most.If not to connect FDD power supply and will come in BIOS into value "12V" 11.77v. If will include FDD "12V" 12.03v

Quad OC with this Board is not as good as the UD3P or R, FSB510 Prime Large stable is the Maximum.
