    So that's why you didn't want to look at the temps heh.

    It's very surprising the gskill module kept up to the extent it did, although it wouldn't be able to match the corsairs in outright speed of course.

    Interesting encoding results too.

    sure am look at this pi efficiency

    Best 32M Pi effiency I've managed to date = 3864.4 x 550.891 seconds = 2128863

    thanks.. sure is... systematically test every part of the system then combine what you've learnt

    Heh that poor stick is flying, nice work. Nice SPI32M run too that's fantastic efficiency. Any idea how well samsung HCF0 IC's withstand vdimm like 2.025v long term?

    Thanks

    Samsung HCF0 handled 1.9-2.0 fine on X48 and has no probs on X58 for benching. Wouldn't run it 24/7 though

    did some DMM measurements and seems both BIOS, SG and CPUZ with vdroop disabled over report real volts - so above benchies were actually using less vcore than stated hehe

    PSU = HX1000

    1. Vcore over reports slightly in VDROOP Enabled mode, but severely over reports with VDROOP Disabled i.e. 1.23v bios/SG reported = 1.206/1.203v idle/load DMM measured!
    2. VDIMM over reports by 0.005v
    3. CPU VTT undervolts by 0.012v to 0.014v at idle but jumps 0.009v higher under windows load but still is 0.005v under volted under load compared to what is set in bios

    Very nice overclocking on air!

    you going to push it on sub zero?

    Thanks !

    Eventually might try single stage 1/4HP (never used DI/LN2 before), but I usually take my time with a new setup air then water to get to know every part of the system - especially focusing on my favourite part = memory That and I still have my 2nd i7 920 3836A756 to test on same air cooling to see how it compares to the above identical batch sibling

    I'm afraid a 1/4hp won't cut it.. my 1/3hp is struggling madly and it's already tuned for the highest possible load it can cope with (= 280W) ...
    Of course, for your kind of short-load quick benching, it might just do
