    So basically we get a 3.1Ghz unlocked chip with full DDR3 and DDR2 support ,probably higher NB frequencies and all within the same 125W TDP range(which is a bit overrated since Phenom II 940 really draws a lot less than 125W rating).Note the dark purple color of the bars for new Deneb AM3 models,it means we get HT4000Mhz(or 2Ghz NB speeds at least since NB can't be lower than HyperTransport which is 4000Mhz or 2Ghz double data rate).In plain English we get 2+Ghz NB speeds with AM3 .

    800 are x4 CPU's???
    700 are 3x cpu's

    hhhmmm weird numbering scheme

    perhaps they have 1mb L2 cache and 2mb L3 cache ?

    they have a total cache 6mb.

    even if it is 4mb L3 cache could only help to not be as hot. nb speed can overcome being smaller.

    They have 512KB L2 cache per core and 4MB L3 cache. These are Deneb cores with cutted L3 cache. Nothing special.

    To me it looks perfectly clear:

    900 series - X4 /w total 8MB cache (2 MB L2 + 6 MB L3)
    800 series - X4 /w total 6MB cache (2 MB L2 + 4 MB L3)
    700 series - X3 /w total 7.5 MB cache (1.5 MB L2 + 6 MB L3)

    Lets clear out once for all this urban myth about dissipation and amount of cache: if leakage of transistors that constitute processors with less cache is greater than leakage of processors with more cache, dissipation will be basically same, or even greater for processors with less cache but with bigger leakage... of course this is simplest possible explanation but that's how it is... regardless P II X4 810 is really nice O'Cer

    That Phenom 9-series has 8MB cache meens, 512kb L2 per core = 2MB cache + 6MB shared L3 Cache = 8MB
    Phenom 8-series has 6MB total cache, 512kb L2 per core = 2MB Cache + 4MB shared L3 Cache = 6MB

    I'm predicting possibly the best deal if it's <150USD after the recent pricecuts...

    Probably hits the same "wall" the 920/940 do now in terms of general clock since HTT is A-okay.

    the only thing is that 805 is OEM part for system integrators, and 810 is what will be available to DIY end users and neweggers. So we should focus our attention towards X4 810

    One is X3 with 6MB L3 cache and the other is X4 with 4MB L3 cache.

    But yes, second picture is better proof to my claim that it has more to do with APM/fabrication.

    Sure, the second stepping probably brings some process improvements.
    I guess the CPU-Z can't recognize C3 or AM3, or is it ES CPU's?
