I was willing to go to the moon on voltage, It just didn't like it. IIRC 1.6v was where i said screw it, playing with ACC atm don't know if it helps....

I'm sure onboard can limit the clock if pushing HTT, I'm just using the multi to find max clock to windows and max stable prime. FWIW max stable validation voltage required to max stable prime voltage is a huge difference.

i was gonna say try at least 1.6v because sometimes they have like a voltage wall like my 9850 took nearly .1v more to validate @ 3.6 vs 3.7

Yup...especially on a new install with few start ups and processes running. You can have a chip at the brink of stability pass a validation and then blue screen soon after and it maybe take .2v or more to actually make it prime stable.

nah 1.575, I figured out my board just doesn't like 19 multi or higher so boot in and played with AOD, actually got to 4233 but didn't save it as I know I can do higher for just a cpu-z validation. Need to back memory off a tad when i do it next time. Now i know what I was missing should be a cinch from here on out.

    Sup Enjoy
    AMD still fun after all.

    @ Chew...My first killing.... Giga DS4H
Onboard video just went black screen. Probly better to use v. card when pushing all voltages. With Biostar NBv @ 1.5 I can go 2.9Ghz+ on NB freq.
With DS4H its > 2.8Ghz with high NBv and NB Vid.

DUMO, Board still work with a card?

ballpark of volts and temps and clock speed of NB when it happened dumo? Haven't touched anything but dram and cpu volts for now.

Which model biostar are you using? hows the PWM on it (temps). Price @ microcenter?

    Frontline,

As for temps I'm controlling them at under 60C, chip becomes flaky after 58ish, holding them at 55C with various methods on air

For reference this heatsink is horrid, runs about 20C hotter than my true. Using it to show even with poor air High Oc's can be acchieved, the stock HS is likely comparable.

Got 2 sticks here i can lend you....At least you will know how to get here saturday .

Made progress on the DI tube, after an all day venture I found the insulation for it.....Stupid place i got it from last time no longer carries it Got to go get my mounting plate in a few. Hardware I'm praying ACE still has the springs and brass thumb screws, and then a trip to the art store for eraser.

Anyway give me a buzz if you want, you should have my number, and if you do come I can give you some loot to get me something at Microcenter to bring saturday

I can't make it tonight, and I decided I still had ways to fill my time anyhow. I've assembling my HSPC tech station, mounting the board, and all the parts and taking my 500GB seagate out of my current system for use on the bench. That ought to take me the rest of the night anyhow and then tomorrow I'll just pick up the ram from the post office.

    Thanks anyhow though man.

If you use a bios not supporting PH II yes, Note highest clocks I've done so far all have one thing in common "unknown cpu", for some reason although I have no explanation ( not supposed to make a diff with PH II ) I can clock higher with ACC enabled, I also don't need as much voltage.

Chew, out of the box it won't see my sata hd in all 6 ports, luckily I still have my old pata hd which is ok because I run PCI-e @ >110 with v card anyway.
So, I knew from the start that the chipset will go bonkers sooner or later.

    Its Biostar 790GX AM2 @ microcenter.

Got a new Giga board here.
    On air, started bios....

I use easy tune to go higher then K10 stat to find which core that weak/strong.

    Nice stuff Dumo!

I'm setting up the bench as we speak, and trying to take pictures along the way. Just got the DFI board on the tray and about to mount the TRUE.
