Ya me too... isn't that the default setting
I have disabled power-down for my HDDs anyway, these WD RE2 drives are made for permanent operation - they just don't like being spun up and down too often, and neither does the savvio...

Maybe got some advice for me here?

I was thinking freezer 7 pro

    I have a dilemma
I ended up having to get this thermaltake m9 case, because the p182 I wanted went OOS before I could get one

the fans that come with it are low speed, so I definitely need to replace/add fans. But, they need to be transparent, or blue LED. I was wanting to get Yate Loons from petra's. But, they do not have medium speed transparent or blue LED ones, only blue low speed.
Will these suffice for air flow? Or, do I need to go with a different fan?
I'm going to have an e6300 under a freezer 7 pro

i think the default for me was 540 seconds which seems to work ok for me.

I have an E6600, but only generate approx 1000 points per day? A Q6600 is basically two E6600, but still I only generate 1/10th? The computer is on all the time, and the CPU time is set at 100%. Can someone explain to me why this is so?

Well for one, you're putting out nearly 2 thousand points per day according to your own quote.
Next, the default CPU utilisation in the BOINC profile is only 60%. Navigate throught the BOINC Manager clicking Advanced > Preferences > Processor Usage and down the bottom set the maximum CPU time to 100%. Once you've done that we're talking fine tuning to get more out of your system.
Please make sure you've cleaned the dust bunnies out of your system, in particular your CPU cooler, before doing this and remember to do it regularly afterwards.

Thanks for the response, my cpu cooler is a triple rad with fan filters. Temperature is 45 so it's ok.
And as I wrote I have set the CPU time to 100, my cores are loaded to the max (as opposed to earlier when they went up and down.
Anyway, 2000 is still close to 10%.

Next thing to check is your clock speed. Stock for a Q6600 is 2.4GHz. Around here there's an awful lot of them running a lot higher than that, mostly 3GHz and up. Running at stock with Win XP 32bit they're looking at about 10k daily.
Another thing that could be costing you heaps is a combination of your choice of operating system/version/variant and any background processes that may be running. If you post up as much information as you can we can have a look and see what we can suggest.

Avg. Run Time Per Calendar Day (y:d:h:m:s) 0:000:13:46:06

With an E6600 running 24/7, this should be 48:00:00 Run Time Per Day. Looks like the PC was crunching for only ~7 hours, so round to 1/4 of the day. 1/4 of 15,000 is 3750, half of that for half the cores, and you have 1875 points per day. So looks about right to me.

Guys, please keep in mind there is a difference between BOINC points and WCG points. If the number above is 1000 BOINC points, then its roughly 7000 WCG points (maybe a little more). This is a good number for a Core 2 DUO E6600 IMHO.

Hmm you're right. What does "Switch between applications every:" in the options settings really mean?
    Default is 120 min.

How long have you been crunching? Your average score is only that, an average. It will include that time where you were registered but had not yet had any results validated, giving you a zero score for that day.
Have a look at your graphs on your My Grid page at WCG.

If you're only running WCG you can ignore that. It only comes into effect when you run more than one project.
