    Is ACC dead?

So, I seem to have read lots O' posts that claim ACC no worky with the PII.

I have NO idea if this is true or rumor, or just internet chat room balderdash. However, I don't recall us seeing any new info on ACC since PII release, or any news about it all for that matter.

I'm curious if our pals at AMD have basically abandoned ACC now that the PII seems to do ok on its own.

Either that, or the ACC folks all got laid off.... who knows

But in the end, it sure looks like an orphaned idea. Seems to me it was a patch that they needed to give the B3 phenoms a little OC juice while the PII was in the oven. And even then, it never seemed to work that well (for me at least.... I stopped using it)

I just wish we knew something.... ANYTHING about it, how it works, what you're supposed to do with it (-2, -8, +6... I still don't know the difference)

well with a board that already Over volts bye .125-250. Setting 1.700 max volts & ACC +2= 1.744 volts look on some of got voltage's post. It also seem to use a PLL in the sb750 with voltage control on that part too.

Phenom II have the applied internally and isn't need.

original phenom 9X50 will use it and so will the oldest 9X00.

I was mention that it a PLL in the chip didn't work well with the when OC so the fix was to us one off of the chip where it couldn't get corrupted.

For the phenom II it looks like it is as my nvidia 750a board gets me into the margin of error against people using 790FXs

    01. Support ACC for AM2+ 45nm CPU
    02. Fix the problem that the system may show boot fail message if ACC enabled.
    03. Fix the problem that AM2 CPU Vcore voltage may be incorrect if change CPU voltage in AI Suite.
    04. Improve the system performance when use certain CPU.
    05. Support new CPUs. Please refer to our website at: http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx
(ACC is a overclock technique which can adjust the voltage and frequency for AMD CPU directly under OS)
